Game - Continue the Story

Hi. The rules are quite simple.

1. All you have to do is to come up with the next line of a continuing story.
2. Each line can only be a certain number of words in length - No more than 80 characters.
3. By adding a line, you might be completing a sentence, starting a new sentence, not finishing a sentence.
4. You cannot have 2 posts in a row.

Think that is enough. Just to illustrate, a line added to the story could be

A small wooden cottage comes into view next to a old forest. It appears empty

the next player will have to finish the first sentence. Maybe add a start a new sentence. Nobody is in control of the story (or where it goes)? So I will start with.....

crystal statue! Most odd. And then I could hear some heavy breathing behind me...

(dramatic/tension music)

I turned around to see the cutest little baby gorilla breathing heavy from running away from....

but there was nothing to see behind the gorilla, but she looked up at me with big sad eyes.

“Ignore the gorilla” I admonished myself, I’m no Dian Fossey and what is that sound that

I hear. It’s poor baby gorilla’s stomach making hungry noises, I need to feed it..I start looking for some fresh....

berries. Taking tentative steps into the forest, into the darkness, new sounds fill my ears.
