Fortunately/unfortunately

Hey everyone, I like playing games, so I thought that I would start one that I sometimes play with the pre-schoolers at work. It's called "fortunately/ unfortunately". The aim of the game is tell and create a story, kind of like a serial, but the beginning of each sentence or paragraph has to be with words fortunately or unfortunately. The trick is that they have to alternate. It can be a creative, silly or just plain crazy. But the aim is to keep the story going. I'm going to start with.....

It was a bright sunny morning, so today I went to the beach. Unfortunately everyone else had the same idea as I did, but.....

Next person is to continue the story starting with fortunately.

Unfortunately I could see a stingray in the water so I proceeded to enter with caution

Unfortunately after my swim I decided to walk along the beach when a flying fish 🐟 knocked me over

Fortunately I managed to avoid the stingray and when the flying fish knocked me over I fell into the arms of a handsome young lifeguard...

Unfortunately the young lifeguard had a wedding band on his finger so I couldn't fulfill my falling into a mans arms and kissing him fantasy

Fortunately the young lifeguard had a twin brother without a wedding ring on, we made eye contact, kissed passionately and walk away hand in hand

Unfortunately the sand was very hot so we had to hop run holding hands to the nearest shelter

I keep missing the boat here, sorry guys. 😞

Fortunately, I remembered that I had thongs and a portable beach umbrella with me. So on went the thongs and we quickly set up the umbrella and beach chairs.

Fortunately the nearest shelter was also a bus stop, so hopped on the bus and went to the amusement park

unfortunately I get sick on most rides so had a terrible time

Unfortunately we were too busy gazing into each others eyes that we missed the stop for the amusement park.
