Hi everyone, This section of the forum is a little different to the others, as you may have noticed in looking around the threads. Elsewhere on the forums, we discuss some pretty heavy topics: mental health issues, thoughts of suicide, trauma, abuse, relationship breakdowns. Here is the place to come to get away from that and have a bit of fun. Distraction can be an important tool to draw on if you're finding yourself overwhelmed by distressing thoughts and feelings. As this is a section for respite from difficult topics, we will remove posts made in this section that attempt to discuss personal issues. Please use a support thread in the appropriate section for these discussions. Happy posting!

The BB cafe is open for business! Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum. The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here. Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ... Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely Don't sit at home just mopin' Come on down to where the friendship flows freely You know the door is always open At the BB cafe Come to the BB cafe They will help keep your blues at bay At the BB cafe Important Message from ModSupport: The main intention of the BB Cafe is to encourage light conversation. Greetings All! Christmas is almost upon us again! So I thought I would start this thread to talk about everything festive! My favourite things about Christmas: Making cards Putting up decorations Wrapping presents The smell of pine needles Christmas crackers (why are silly plastic toys so awesome when they come out of a cracker?) I would love to hear what your favourite things about Christmas are. And does anyone have a specific decoration that is a bit of a family tradition? It could be something that has been passed down through generations or just something that's makes everyone smile (or groan!) when it is gotten out of the box! We have a singing Santa which we use to wake each other up in the morning whether it is Christmas Day yet or not! I look forward to hearing your Christmas stories! All the Best, Rose

I started off gazing into the night air, then I found myself in this hypnotic stare, whilst I was there I will tell you what I saw, I saw broken girl, who wanted so much more. As the night grew on and my thoughts began to race, It was myself, I thought I could not face. I quiver with fear every single day, if only I could find, another easy way. I try so hard to fight these long dark lonely days, but they seem to have caught me, in eternal haze. I'm no stranger to the wrath of this place, the demons around me and what I have to face. There's something after me and it's called "I am here" it's a dark side of the atmosphere. It circles around me and I bear not to look, it has me by a thread, it has me by it's hook. The Shadows that follow me, in my dark place, have a ugly side, have a ugly face, When I come up to breathe for some fresh air, "I am here" decides to share. It has no remorse or feeling of guilt, it takes you as you are and watches you wilt. Screaming out for help into the Abyss of life, "I am here"will take you as his wife. As I stare out further into the night air, I notice myself starting to care. I care about my future and the ones I love the most, not about "I am here" my most unlikely host. I take in my thoughts for which I'd like to share, I think about myself and what I think is fair. I want a life of peace, of clear thoughts and happy days, I do not want to be stuck, in this eternal Haze. I finally feel "I am here" is fading away, and I'm here, to face another day. The morning is here and I've survived another night, I have proven to myself I can truly fight. I celebrate my life and I shed a tear, now there is new meaning behind, I am here.

Anyone else feel like they don’t know what they’re doing with their life? Feels like all my friends have plans and things to look forward to with their careers and relationships and I’m stuck in a low paying job not using my qualifications. I recently moved away from my friends and family to be with my partner which was ok at first but it’s getting harder by the day as i don’t have any friends around me and am constantly staying home alone. It’s making me smoother her so much because she’s the only person I get attention from but it’s starting to take a toll and I feel her getting more distant from me. I feel worse and worse by the day and she doesn’t really understand she just tells me to go see someone about it which isn’t helpful. Can anyone relate or is it just me?
