Hey there Mr Croixy man and your many friends ☺
I'm glad you felt touched about the thoughts and care you have.
This may sound a tad morbid but is true. We never forget loved ones or liked which I thinks a part of love if they pass on, just as thank goodness we continue liking loving & respecting people that are here with us.
So how are you doing there good man? I very much hope you're getting on top of this lung bizzo. It's hard yakka having lung trouble and very tiring. Hope you're getting as much rest as po.
I know your dear wife would be looking out for you
Grandy and I did a wip around and got you some spare Icebergs ❄ and another pair of earmuffs 🎧 set at maximum sound so you don't miss out on our band practices. I know...I know...we're good like that.
Oh forgot... I got a 🎁 for you...it's that pair of shaded glasses that you were needing for my dazzling Macleans smile 😁 ... 🕶....ta da
Often thoughts with deep care and respect. Get well please Mr 🐧
Still 🕊 peace

Dear DB and all you other lovely folks~
You know, i was just starting to get the hang of long-white-cloud-eze and you suddenly turn into a Chicago gangster. A whole new language to try to fathom out, you really are hard on walruses.
As for remembering those past and present, you are right, and gain immense please from those I know who are still in the land of the living, but am fortunate in being able too look back on the antics of the first Mrs Croix with genuine pleasure, and even on occasions reflect on how she would have advised me about something I'd planned or was worrying about.
I'm also blessed that the Mrs Croix who joined me was able to accept she was following in footsteps, but that in a surprisingly short time came to realize I saw here completely and there were no footsteps to follow or try to emulate, in other words she became genuinely secure.
This is no small thing and many would still have a little patch of worry, happily not so here. I do have only one golden rule, if asked something about her predecessor I have an attack of the selective memories and do not answer but emulate your gangster friends when being cross examined in the witness box and say "I forget" and plead the 5th:)
As you say, a bit of a morbid subject, I'm not going anywhere and will be trying to avoid your and Grandy's attempts at music for years to come. Have the pair of you considered mime as a substitute -a pair of Marcel Marceas, or even Morris Mimers, would be just fine.
I can see how being able to harness you BP mood shits to have the energy and creativity without going overboard, together with no downs, would be a great thing, sadly I'm not sure anyone has ever manged that. Still many famous have achieved wonderful and things, from Frank Sinatra to the gentlman missing an ear, Vincent van Gogh,
Come to think of it Frank would probably understand your Chicago tongue straight away.
How's the back, is it a truce at the moment?

Croix....are you really not well...quite ill?..Sorry I didn't realise. Get better then because I need you to bounce things off..no one else understands the real me..in case you're interested...I was sensational.
Don't you love that word? And another person told me that...I don't usually use that word about myself. I am exhausted and ache all over..but I was sensational. I think I found a bit of "her" there...just in time..I had nearly given up. Xxxxx

Dear Moon~
Doing something hard you have a passion for and being praised for it are the things you need. Although I'm sure there wilt be ups and downs the knowledge you are still there inside will buoy you up.
I'm very pleased for you.
I will be well soon enough

Dear Croix
I hope you're mending well!
Having you on the forums has meant the world to me. You do "get" people and that's a gift not often seen.
But this gift was probably hard fought for and won, I'm cognizant of this.
I also follow in the footsteps of a lost Mrs Bear (I'll call BF Mr Bear because he's like a cuddly bear). She also was a beautiful wife and mother. Mr Bear adored her and she him.
We spoke and cried alot about her at the beginning of the relationship. He had mountains of grief to process and hadn't been able to.
I don't think we ever truly "get over" losing someone.
We just learn how to go on.
Being able to share or feelings with someone we trust is really valuable.
Thankyou for being here Croix and everyone. You're very much appreciated.
Love EM

Dear EM~
Thank you for that, I often follow but do not comment so as to see how people are doing. Unfortunately at the moment my health is not as good as I'd like and my activities tend to reflect this, I've a fair bit less energy for one thing, and if too tired would write more waffle than I usually do, possibly making someone feel misunderstood in the process, so tend to post less.
Don't worry, things will be on the mend, I am simply getting used to waiting rooms ATM - a useful art to foster:)
No, we do not 'get over' anyone who has been very close to us, but we do assimilate our greif and in the process it seems less
I saw it explained once as greif filling your whole being, as represented by a circle on the whiteboard. Then other things come into your life after that and form a skin around that circle. As time goes on that skin gets so thick it is as great or greater in volume than that original circle.
You now have two circles, the original the same size, but the later events forming much a larger one with the smaller in the center. The greif remains, but is viewed though the perspective of later events.
I can laugh at picture of my first wife trying to keep cubs (ie young scouts) in order on bonfire night, or cooking deep-fried ice-cream for them, and equally can feel so sad at the hymn in her funeral when I hear it.
It is a rich mix, and I'd not change it.
Mr Bear can find another in you who is not like the original Mrs Bear in many ways, though share a good heart. Those differences will help him, as the difference between my second wife has from the one that passed away. They remind me my life is greatly changed accommodating the new.
You see people too EM

Dear Moon~
That's pretty good news, not only your feelings when doing the bowling, but the fact that tournaments appear to be increasing in frequency, so a promise of more to come.
Your talents are not going to fade away, you will always be on average as excellent (I'm sure there is the occasional time you are unhappy with you performance -that's normal.)
It may be your style of bowling may have to reach into new areas with the passage of time -an excitement to look forward to

Dear Moon~
I'm well aware that this is a difficult time of the year for you and want to ask if you have made any plans to distract yourself and think of more pleasant things?
Waking up on the day with nothing in front of you to do can be daunting and miserable.
Maybe a car trip to a site you enjoy or find peaceful, with a picnic hamper perhaps?
