Hello Croix,

I had forgotten that I had a 6-cup cupcake baking tray made from silicon It is very much like the old cupcake tins, which you might still be able to get in the larger muffin size.

Anyhow, I went & bought a set of individual silicon muffin baking dishes, or cups or whatever they are called. These have ruffled sides like patty cake paper do. II wasn't sure how they really would work, but they do. They didn't get floppy or melt while baking. The mmMuffin-cakes came out easily - barely missing a crumb! Admittedly, I also had smeared them with some margarine & dusted them with flour to be sure. It is good that they remain flexible so if necessary, I could loosen the sides to remove the cooked mmMuffin-cakes.

I began my 'special diet' today.

I made up some stew/soup today, using a liquid chicken stock, peeled potatoes, carrot (from frozen, which have no peel anyway), the tips from cauliflower & brocolli, & of-course, chicken pieces. I don't expect this sounds exciting, but it was quite edible, even though I cooked the veg longer than I usually like, to ensure they are really, really soft. I made enough to for two meals, but now, I'm feeling hungry & it's not even been 5 hours (as I write this).

For a scan tomorrow at 11am, I have to fast. I think even if I have a meal between 3-4 am, I'm going to be hungry by 9am.

I've got so used to having breakfast, I really don't like to have to skip it. For this scan I am only allowed sips of water, just to wet mouth, no swallowing. (What do I do, spit out into the street while riding in my support worker's car?)

& next Wednesday, for lunch I am permitted clear liquids....except I will be given lots of an awful liquid to drink & then be going back & forth to the bathroom. Hmm, wonder if I will sleep?

I don't know what time the procedures are to be done, but I hope it's early Thursday morning, so I can get some solid food into me again, sooner rather than later.

Hi again, Croix,

When I first arrived in Australia, our neighbours had a wood stove. The Mrs would chop the wood which had been delivered, into smaller chunks.

My parents were shocked to realise they would have to use an outhouse. It was in the next year or two, when we, & other people in the area, got indoor toilets & outhouses disappeared.

Keep warm, maybe beside the fireplace, you, Mrs C, Sumo, oh, what's you dog's dame again? Him too. Rugged-up altogether, with the Pesky Penguins, Inebriated Kiwis, yeah, everyone .... 💤, maybe.

What will happen to mmMarshmallows when I try to bake them in my mmMuffin-cakes? Will the cake mixture absorb the melted mmMarshmallows, or will they hold up to baking? Maybe both, just in a state of uncertainty, like Schrodinger's Cat? How many lives &/or unlives has Schrodinger's Cat?

Making sure I was spelling his name correctly, I have discovered there is: Schrodinger's Cat Burglar video game. Since I can't see to play most games anymore, maybe this one will be one I can play?

Dear MK~

I had a look at the Schrödinger's Cat Burglar video game and I'm afraid I doubt you would enjoy it, although the characters' conversations are in text balloons they disappear quickly and refer to visual situations, not ideal. The game also requires a 3rd party platform called 'Steam" in order to run on a PC. Disappointing, sorry about that.

Yes, Mrs C, Foxy Dog, Sumo Cat and probably sundry penguins and inebriated kiwis are all snug and warm, with a strong cold wind gusting outside. Sadly Ms C has to lug in the wood (but not split it) as I'm unable to do so, she says it's worth it though as the fire warms the whole house, heat pumps only warm a room.

Plotting how to give me a hard time would be much more fun, particular if you can rope in ER and Paws  🙂

With the number of lives, I guess zero, nine or ∞ depending on your perspective(s).

Although the sound of marshmallow is delicious perhaps the marshmallow might be added after to prevent the 'glug' factor.

Yes I'm glad to say outhouses are a thing of the past in most places together with cut up squares of newspaper on a string. I remember building one for my in-laws over ½ a century ago when I met my first wife. The hard part always was emptying the bucket 🤢

Have not heard from LRK for a while

Hi Croix, Mrs C & Menagerie, )with apologies to Foxy Dog, for forgetting his? name). I will try to do better).

LRC/LRK is in hiding, because I suspect, wishing to know nothing about my procedures next Thursday & also, not enjoying this Special Diet either. It's not that bad, I keep saying, we're not starving or anything.  The fish I bought turned out to be rather thin fillets, so two or three is required to satisfy us. It's true, though, we're not liking the V8 juice - 'cause maybe it has some V8 juice from a real V8 engine in it.

No, really, I just liked the idea of a cat burglar video game, if only the cat is a burglar & no burglars are stealing cats from their nice homes. If they are in bad homes, then, I'd be up for rescuing them.

Unless the video game is especially designed for people who are blind or have a severe visual impariment, the text-to-speech readers will not be able to recognise the text content of the game. I used to play Sims games, & more & more often I would be pausing the game to magnify my screen to read text, or to visually search for objects I had to send my Sim to collect. This takes too much time. & I finally was magnifying so much it made the print too blurry.

Noe, print is all too blurry whether I zoom using the Windows Magnifier or the Page Enlargement Magnifier or both together. & even so, I've got my nose just about on my tv )large tv I use as my PC's monitor),trying to read text or find buttons my tech won't identify, or when I can't seem to get to what I want via my keyboard easily.

I'm not sure where Paws & ER are lately. I imagine they will turn up here, you know, in their own time. I do miss the graceful stingray making gentle waves upon your iceberg, & the happy clicking of Paws-paw's claws on the roof of the igloo. I can try to imitate them, but I don';t think it would be the same. Swimming around your iceberg & dancing on your igloo at the same time would be quite a feat, [LRC pokes head out from under bed  with quizzical interest, emjoi].

I messed up making MmMuffin-cakes with banana bits, broke a plate in the process, but somehow, my stoove-top mmMuffin-cake, though burnt, still tastes good. I have to clean my oven tomorrow.
