OOO This Dreaded Lurgy! ( cat emojis are insufficient & totally inadequately pictorialize how I feel! My tiny kitty nose feel like a hippo's, so stuffed with gooey-gooby stuff. Blowing my nose makes no difference to how full it feels.
I phoned my helpers, & my home helper offered to get me more lemons, & the honey & she also got me some minty throat lozenges & (surprise) chocolate, & made a a few serves of chicken soup, home made!
So, I get a little relief with lemon & honey drink, & the lozenges, & walking about my flat helps too - wish I could sleep walk! That, of-course, is the most difficult. My nose gets so full up while I am lying down, it throbs & it gets thick back there, feeling like it could block my airway completely.
Ha, I still manage to write a bit here!
I said to my helper, how nice she is, & she disagreed. I had to object. Doing these things, not asking to be refunded the cost, on her day weekend off, she has shown me she has a warm & generous heart, & compassionate nature, & she attributes to her mother & grandmother, saying this was how she was raised by them. Then she said she would phone me tomorrow.
*
As for stuff that smells like shoe glue, that is the stuff that comes in tiny vials or tubes, & is for the prevention of heart worm, (I think...memory uncertain), & vet recommended. Us puddy cats need all the care we can get - just not one that smells so horrid!
I may have thought it would be easier than giving a tablet, & receiving teeth! I hardly ever got that stuff only on Mekitty's neck - open the vial, & she'd be off - 💨dashing away!
*
Got my lurgy Thursday, did I say, got my lurgy Thursday, while out getting an MRI on my back, then shopping a bit, & lunch at a nearby shopping centre, & then back to my local chemist, then home...
I'm not doing much, not without being able to wear a mask. Sometimes I will have to take risks or live like old Howard Hughes.
Lucky I found you guys here,😺or I'd be talking more to myself than ever!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️- another pile for Sumo, when wants to play David Attenborough & needs a hide to look out from, & spot the local wildlife behaving naturally.😹

Hello Dear Croix, mmMeKitty and all...🤗.
Thank you Croix..for suggesting something I might enjoy watching...I haven’t as yet, I will soon though..
You paint a nice warm picture with your words...of you sitting in front of your blazing wood fire, Sumo Cat sitting in usual place near your left elbow...while you and your beautiful wife watch an old movie on DVD....enjoying each other’s company.....🕊🦋🌹..
Good night Croix...
Grandy..

Dear mmMekitty and Grandy
I remember watching one of David Attenborough's earliest TV shows, Zoo Quest in 1954. Surprisingly parts of series 2, (1956 onward) can be found on YouTube.
There are also on YouTube his underwater contemporaries, Hans and Lotte Hass who came to UK TV slightly before the more famous Jacques-Yves Cousteau
It was certainly a revelation to someone whose whose horizons were fixed in Britain. On watching a couple of clips now I find things were more robust in those days

Good morning Croix....remember how Seinfeld began with these guys having an idea about a TV show ..."about nothing". well thought it about time I contacted Forum somewhere, anywhere really just to keep contact and my name on file or whatever in case they write me off as Lost In Space .
This post is really about nothing you see, so I thought your thread the obvious choice to place it.
In leafing through the entries admittedly mostly on "My Threads"..{ nothing jumps out at me just now that I could answer or comment on or offer advice or help, so I'm a bit useless to them I'm afraid.
..I haven't read much of the newer contributors at all which is probably my loss. I might see someone I there I identify with completely, or can help but I feel a bit lazy these days. I sort of tend to stick to the old contributors I've known for a long time, like a pair of comfy old slippers you know?
{ see I told you it was a post about nothing) I am gradually getting through the withdrawal period from adrenaline overload, but how sweet it was...that adrenalin is a marvellous, powerful drug. Can you grow it, like that other forbidden natural healing herb?? My chemist doesn't sell it in bottles.
anyway have fun with all your new buddies on your "ice berg" they seem so familiar with.
Has the Carpenter dropped by lately? Probably too shy...he just liked to walk along the sand with you on dusk after all and contemplate the state of the world....speaking of many things like shoes and ships and sealing wax, and cabbages and kings! Perhaps I am the Carpenter, reincarnated? now there's a thought.
take care Croix......x

Dear Ms Carpenter~
Yes walking along the shore chatting away, relaxed and in no hurry - a very pleasant concept.
Actually if you could talk about nothing for a full post I'd suspect you should enter politics:) However it's not the case, you do talk of things, including important ones. I liked your post in the ageing thread where there are less around for you to see yourself reflected by them. Though actually your image of yourself is fine
Actually that post belies your words, you do talk with new people as well as us 'comfortable slipper' types.
That adrenaline rush can't be there all the time, you'd overload! So the fact it peaks and lessens -until next time of course - is really just right. Despite being an expert in your field it also means you have to rest, reduce to a less demanding pace before you are ready for the next episode.
You are of course a welcome guest on my iceberg whenever the fancy takes you (but don't trip over the penguins)

...but do waltz with the flamingos.😺
Really, Moonstruck, Croix & everyone, I enjoy the wandering sort-of aimlessly posts. These are relaxing. Very good for when I am cranky or grumpy & could do with a little slow-down time.
It's realy nice out here, when the neighbours are quiet - except I am on edge for 'the next time' & what that might be like.
You know, Croix, it just may happen in the next few days, your iceberg could be the warmest place from the west-east middle line on down.
I hope everyone is keeping warm.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What makes you think I'm not? 🐱 - 🐧 - 🐱 -🐧what's the difference, really? I've been waiting for you to ask me to take off the penguin suit, & I'd have to say, "sorry, no can do, Walrus; this is the shape I'm in- all you see is all me!" & then slide, feet first into the water! & fly!😺

Hi there Mr Croixy 🐧 Moon 🌜kitty 🐺 Grandy 👩❤️👩 and all your many friends 👨👩👦👦 reading and here ☺
I'm exhausted finding all those emojis so I "might"... being the operative word post with out anymore emojis. Huh...you fell for that didn't ya...as if 🤣...hey that was an accident..my hand jerked being in such shock at the thought of not doing anymore...sigh 😧 what can you do...
Croixy amongst many here and I imagine in rl (real life) I want you to know I have a great respect for you. The way you talk with enormous respect to people, your wisdom sense of humour knowledge and communication skills and a big heart amongst many other attributes including using emojis that gives me such a warm buzz impresses me no end.
Thank you Croixy man for how you are and what you do good man.
I've been reading often here and getting many giggles and smiles thanks everyone for such a varied yes Moon cruisy place you created. Well said too about being similar to Seinfeld, couldnt stand that show to start. Seeing ads with the masterful Kramer drew me in. How he shakes his extra bit of hair and slides into the room let alone his wicked natural talent for comedy. Sadly I heard he as many people that make it to high fame fall victim to alcohol and drug abuse. Truly hope if its true that he's recovered well. Elaine was brilliant too. George played a good part. Didnt think Seinfeld was much chop as an actor. The supporting actors held him tho his stand up comedy was very good I thought.
Umm...tried hard to stop the 🦄 unicorns after sharpening their struth ..what are they...horns I guess, piercing holes through your iceberg but must say the pweddy fountains look striking.
It's ok though cause I'm quite handy with 🛠 tools - borrowed Grandys although I did have to chisel actually considering becoming a sculptor now and again it's ok again because I stuck bubble gum between your broken iceberg that served a double purpose cause I blew bubbles to keep it afloat so as you can see no need for penguin life jackets...
No no...really...no need to thank me...all in a days work...sooo payment will be graciously accepted with many 🍫 choccy bars asap.
Hoping your health both mentally/physicallys holding dear friend. I have concerns about how you are. Very grateful to your lovely sounding Mrs Croixy 💓
Hope your days are good everyone. Even if we can find one happy memory or thought it's something to build on ☺

😺Here's one: Choceconomy (Don't listen to my text-to-speech reader, getting the pronunciation all wrong. It's CHOC-ec'on-a-ME! 🍫(mor you like chocolate, the more important is the emphasis of individual syllables. The example here is for what DB might choose. 😺
