Worried About My Cat’s Health

It’s been two weeks since we brought home a new kitten to join our family. Our older cat, our world, still hasn’t fully accepted her, and, it’s been a tough time. The cat has stopped eating and barely drinks water now. I’m worried because she’s getting weak,,, and I’m not sure what to do. We love her so much, but seeing her like this is breaking my heart. Please anyone suggest me some healthy cat food options that might help bring back her energy and appetite. Maybe something soft, nutritious, or homemade that your cats have liked?

Hello,
Sorry to hear your cat hasn't been doing too well. Pets have such a special place in our hearts and it can be quite upsetting to see them struggling. I have two cats, and they both like the Fancy Feast brand, especially the ones with gravy. They also like the broths from the same brand (might be good for hydration too). Can I ask how you introduced your cats? When mine met, we kept them seperate for a while and fed them at the same time on opposite sides of a door, so they'd associate each other's smells with positive things. A good vet might have more tips though, especially for older cats. I hope your lovely kitty feels better soon!

Aneeta-Karen,
Oh goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that your kitty isn't doing too well. Is taking a trip to the vet a viable option at all?
We feed ours Royal Canin I'm pretty sure, otherwise Fancy Feast has been good too. Sometimes all it takes is trying out a few new things - dental treats can also be good for getting them interested in eating again too.
I hope this helps!
All the best, SB
