I am 26 year's old, I am behind with my driving licence and owning a vehicle, and I have to have x2 medical review's every year per 6 month's each, I also have to complete a occupational therapist assessment for a of and on road at the moment too

I am living In a continuous quarter life crisis since 18, I don't have conventional Interest for entry Job's, or for University or Trade's at TAFE, I am 26 now and obviously without education, but more so without entry casual work history, and only Just 11 month's volunteer In a bull** saver's role that I didn't entirely at mostly at all like or want to continue. I would prefer part time Job's for the guaranteed shift, schedule and flexibility

with a MIS diagnosis of schizophrenia, I have been treated for over 8 year's continuously, and I am now stuck on medication, I have contracted pre diabete's Type-2 and had my gallbladder removed also too

I wanted to be a professional rapper and guitar player and write comedy Joke book's as a recreational creative passionate hobbie, but have some form of a conventional regular life with full time security and flexibility, and with misfit friendship's, and formulate my driving by now

I have a selfish narcissistic father, and a vague mother, and I only have my brother otherwise

hello joseph
I can relate to your feelings. thankfully my psychologist was very helpful in pointing out that a lot of people don't fit the mould when it comes to common expectations like driving or education. Actually it's often these types of people who go on to succeed in inventing something cool etc because they think differently to the mainstream.
I work part time at a major retailer, this is great for making an income but having time for personal interests (like music). It can be difficult to live with family members who don't communicate well. I hope you can find people to connect with through your interest in music, and you will certainly get support here on BeyondBlue.

Hi Joseph,

Welcome to the BB forum.

I'm sorry for your challenge, it must be very hard. But it's good to know about your interest, which is to be a professional rapper and guitar player and write comedy Joke book. If it is the motivation of your life I'd encourage you to move forward.

While these hobbies cannot bring you income, at least in the beginning, I fully agree with Yana that you can try to find a stable part-time job. As the economy is recovering from the pandemic there're a lot of demand on the market, some of them requires only short-term training or 6 month TAFE. Choose those you don't hate at least and easy to start. If you can work stably for a period of time, your life will be easier to be stabilized as well.

Hope everything will become better and better.

Mark

I never said I don't fit the mold with driving, I said I am ruined with legislative requirement's because of my mis diagnosis, I am well above capacity to drive, and education I have limited Interest, but not enough to want to, I am a misfit more for creativity and meaning than conventional conformity

Yeah I wanted a standard probationary driving licence and a vehicle, no debate's

I wanted a Cert IV Nutrition education at TAFE, to qualifiy for Nutritionist Assistant Job's

I wanted suitable casual or part time Job's better and with security and flexibility

My health and Independence, and Image has been RUINED with my Mis Diagnosis of Schizoprehnia for the last 8 year's
