Hi
Just wondering if it's normal to feel always angry? I'm smiling and laughing on the outside but inside I just want to scream and it's not fair on my pets because they always see the worst side of me. I want to stop it but I'm always so angry.

I think a lot of anger actually comes from anxiety. Sometimes it's a way to defend ourselves if we are scared. What sort of scenarios are making you feel angry?
I get angry a lot too(and usually it's pretty irrational) but only at home. I think a lot of it is stressed based and I think, for people with anxiety, we hide our feelings and smiling and laughter is way to hide that, so it can build up, and having anxiety can be pretty stressful just dealing with it on a day to day basis anyway.
I take my anger out on my pets too, then feel bad and have to apologize to them. I think it's important to realize why you're getting angry, and if it's worth getting angry over. Sometimes it's good to just take a deep breath to calm down, I actually walk my dog sometimes to just clear my head and I find that helps for me.

Hi Tina_Syd,
I’m glad Anonymously Me has kindly replied with his or her insight 🙂
You come across as exhausted and overwhelmed to me. Smiling to the outside world but inside is a different story as you said.
I feel Anonymously Me has covered a lot of ground as to why you might be feeling so angry so perhaps those ideas are something you relate to...
I’m not sure wonder if you have spoken to anyone in your offline world about your anger and anxiety e.g. GP, psychologist, etc as they might be able to help you find strategies to cope with the anger. Just a thought...
Anyway, I hope you feel very welcome here. I’m glad you reached out and, if you like, you can continue using this space to share your struggles and let us know how things are going.
kind thoughts,
Pepper
