I'm 43 years old and I've been struggling with my Anxiety for a while now, but just recently we got an email from the real estate letting us know of an inspection coming early next month. I can't stop stressing over it and my anxiety is medium to high.
Our property manager well she has high standards and everything has to be spick and span. Hence my Anxiety is medium to high. I'm even struggling to shut off to sleep on the moment because of this. What do I do?

Hi naralle,
Im sorry you are feeling this way.
I understand that anxiety can be difficult to deal with especially when it’s at severe levels.
Sometimes our anxiety can creep up on us and then when something comes up like your inspection it feels more higher due to the increased stress.
You can only do the best you can with your inspection and I’m sure you will do a fantastic job and your manger will be impressed.
Try to be positive.
If you are feel as though your anxiety is stopping you from doing things in your daily life like sleeping then it may be time for you to see your gp and discuss how you are feeling and discuss how anxiety is affecting your life.

Hello naralle,
I'm sorry that the upcoming inspection has increased your anxiety. As Petal_22 has mentioned, you can only do your best to make sure everything is in order, but I can understand how sometimes our anxiety makes us think that our best is not good enough.
Something I do sometimes is write my negative thoughts down in a journal as they appear throughout the day, then at the end of the day, try to challenge each thought. If thoughts appear such "I haven't done enough", you might list all the things you have done and it can be reassuring to see proof of the effort you have put into things.
When it comes to not being able to sleep because of anxiety, this is something I experience often as well. Practicing deep breathing or meditation has helped me a lot to calm my mind. One type of meditation I like to do is walking meditation, where I just walk back and forth across my room and count how many steps I take as I breathe in, and how many steps I take as I breathe out. Doing this for 10-20 minutes before bed, helps me focus on my breathing and the present, rather than the thoughts in my mind.
Hope this helps,
Beeee

Hi, welcome
Often we cant sleep as life's stresses stop us, however lack of sleep can be a major contributer to anxiety and depression, moods and intolerance.
Better to remain awake and extra hours or two than tossing a turning. Also, get things into a more accurate perspective in that-
- Doing your best is always good enough
- Real estate agents (inspections) are always strict as they represent the landlord
- Be clever, if there is a stain somewhere, ask the agent how they would like you to remove it. Have a bucket and cleaner fluid nearby as if you've tried.
- Worry only produces ulcers. Dont worry just do the work required to satisfy
- Long term, try to remove anxiety from your life. Google- Beyondblue topic anxiety, how I eliminated it
