Seeking advice regarding Anxiety about Anxiety

Hi all, I am a 22-year-old and had never experienced any mental health worries until about 4 months ago when I had a panic/anxiety attack on the way to work. Since then I sometimes find it hard to get on public transport and trips in cars without feeling super anxious. I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to reduce the anxiety about anxiety. Additionally is there any advice to reduce the impact of anxiety whether that is meditation, yoga etc? One of my main questions as well is when early symptoms of anxiety appear such as nausea, and shortness of breath is it best to push forward or return to a safe space ASAP?

Thank you all for your help!

Hey mate im new to all this as well and i have been getting symtoms like yours too. If you are around someone say a friend, family member or someone you trust LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. It is daunting but for me it has helped so much. We should'nt feel embarrased about our anxiety! When im feeling anxious alone i either put on a podcast or do breathing exercises to calm me down. Sometimes time outs are needed for me and ill sit down somewhere quiet if possible and try and calm myself down. Hope this helps a bit mate

Hey there im sorry to hear you havent been feeling great!I have suffered and do suffer from similar symtoms and what i have learned after several years of trial, error, education. medication and psychological support is... We can feel the physical symptoms of anxiety when we are already quite anxious and that its difficult to do relaxation when our body hits the 'flight or fight response' which is what the nasty body symptoms are, our body thinks it is in danger. Please dont be ashamed and see a good GP who can chat through your options. If you experience this symptoms on your way to work etc please take some time to look after yourself and stop what you are doing even if that means being late for work/ringing in sick. Be kind to yourself and know anxiety is really common and things can get better for you with time and support x
