hey this is my first time using beyond blue and tbh i didn't even realise they had a full forum community and well i guess i ended up posting on here. so i've decided i don't care anymore about school. if i come through the office tmr and i get axed well that's done. i got a psychologist way recently thinking she might help me more but she's on leave. so excuse or letter for that is gone and i can't be bothered to communicate to her. it's quite too late for that now. so i'm just gonna go and see how it goes.

Dear New Member~
Welcome here, I guess by now you will have fronted the school office and found out what they had to say. I hope it was nothing too drastic. Would you like to say what happened?
You have posted in the Anxiety Section, so maybe that is what you have. I too have anxiety which makes me always things are going to turn out for the worst. I'm lucky though as I have someone who tells me I'm overacting and that helps. Pity your psych was not available.
Is she any help normally?
I would like to know how you go, if that's OK. I went to a heap of different schools as my parents moved around a lot, and only found one I got on with, at the rest I seemed to be forever having visits to the teachers and parent consultations.

Hi thanks for replying. Nah I skedaddled. I'm assuming I'm outed by now after not being in school for a while. I think that summarises pretty much my situation.
I'm glad you have someone to tell you that. I did too but... it was not comforting at all. All I can say the relationship between parents is complicated. Which is why I find it hard to trust people. I don't have an emotional outlet.
- Has she been help normally?
I can't say I've only had one session with her. It hasn't been any different from talk therapy so far 😕 (this psychologist is specialised in cbt therapy so that was what I was mainly looking for when I came to therapy). But I like her since we are kind of similar in terms of conditions.

Hi Melon
Welcome to the forum
I’m really sorry to learn that your school isn’t meeting your needs. You’re not alone with this challenge; there is a growing number of young people feeling the same way. Thankfully there is also a growing number of alternative ways for people to access education, which may be of interest to you at some point in time.
I’m wondering if anxiety played a role in your not rocking up to school yesterday? (Again, because you posted in anxiety.) There is no pressure to answer but have a think about it. This may be useful information for your school to know in order to better support you should there be a conversation in the near future.
One of the best ways to manage anxiety and keep it from getting in your way is to do exactly what you’re doing—working with a psychologist. There is plenty of evidence to show that CBT is an effective treatment. Congratulations to you for having the courage to start the process.
Kind thoughts to you
