panic attack?

Hey so lately people have been asking me if i'm okay, and people have started commenting if i'm sad or asking why I'm sad... My response is always idk cause i really don't. I know my friends struggle with a lot of stuff and they do tell me a lot and i'm thinking that has overloaded my brain and i'm just super worried about them all the time. 2 of my friends have made me talk to them about whats going on and today in class after talking to one of my friends I was shaking and I didn't know why, i thought it might be because of everything thats going on. I told my friend and she said I might be having a mild panic attack. What do you guys think? And any tips/strategies for dealing with it? I don't really want to talk to a counsellor tho.

Hey Avocado Toast, welcome to the Beyond blue forums. We're sorry to hear you're managing feelings of sadness and anxiety. It must be very frustrating to not know why you're feeling this way. It makes sense that you are looking for a bit of support yourself, that's a lot to deal with. Please know that you're not alone, and there is help available to you.

Although you don't want to speak with a counsellor would you be more comfortable writing to one? Our Support Service offers a webchat from 3pm-12am AEST on our website: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport. The KidsHelpline has 24/7 web counselling through their website here: http://www.kidshelp.com.au/. One of the friendly counsellors can offer you some short-term support but also provide you with advice and referrals. We also have a number of anxiety-related resources on our website that might be useful to read over. You can find them here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/anxiety

We hope that a few of our members will pop by with some words of wisdom for you. Welcome again!

Thankyou, i might try that out 🙂
