Hi Travellers73,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing anxiety, I am aware of what it's like at work and it's not fun. I think it's great that you're being proactive and meditating and doing things like tai chi to calm down, I have found both to be helpful.
Have you spoken to your GP about your anxiety? It may be a good idea if it's bothering you at work or you're worried about travel; perhaps they can provide you with some help.
Also, are you travelling with someone? Is it possible to have a chat with them to ease the nerves?
Take care,
Gloria10

Have been to dr multiple times :0). I am doing all right things.Going on trip with husband and daughter. I was alot worse last year (measured it, and literally half this time, but still bad if kbow what i mean)I seem to calm down when on the holiday and last year anxiety left after the holiday. Just sick of it :0(
In a way, the panic has hit a little later this time. Gosh and when it comes back it very consuming. I am cooking tea now. I do find it a bit of mindfulness. Sorry if rambling, but I feel with anxiety make progress then setbacks...

Hi Traveller73
Gloria10 posted some great advice above.
You are not rambling at all. You have written a great post that can many others and good on you
You have done well to have managed your anxiety using natural techniques as well
Anxiety can be a real pain. Ive had it for many years.
Being anxious about your upcoming vacation is very common.
Sometimes I have found that anxiety can be having too much on our plate at the same time or even overthinking whats going on our lives
You are doing everything so well. The anxiety can last a while and sometimes even increase (sorry) If the symptoms are increasing its still a common complaint with tens of thousands of Aussies but may need some basic counseling to get to address the symptoms
I hope you can stick around the forums Traveller 🙂
my kind thoughts
Paul
