Anyone Feeling nauseous and more?

Miss1234

My anxiety has come back after 2 years. I don't even know why? Is this normal? I was so emotional today for no reason just really down. I felt really nauseous and as if I needed to go to the loo but never did. Has anyone felt like this? And how long will it last? Sorry it's been so long I've forgotten what to do.

Hi Miss1234,

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

Regarding your anxiety from 2 years ago, did you ever get it treated? It's quite common for it to come back especially if it was never fully treated to begin with. Nausea is a common symptom of anxiety from my knowledge, when I get anxiety, nausea is one of them for me too. Coping is different for everyone, I find listening to music calms me down, other people swear by controlled breathing techniques, or mindfulness. I would suggest possibly going to see a GP about it and see if they can offer any help, maybe speaking to a psychologist might help as well?

Feel free to post back as much as you wish.

My best for you,

Jay

Hi jay. Thanks for your reply. Yes I was on medication for a couple gets until I had my second baby. I've been ok since then just managing mild anxiety. I've woken today with what feels like a tennis ball in my chest and extremely tired. I don't know if I'm sick or its anxiety.bi have so much happening in my life at the moment so I'm quite busy. I have just started seeing a doctor about it so hopefully it will help.

thanks again for your reply

Hi Miss1234,

Yes the tennis ball feeling in the chest, I've had that before... anxiety literally drains you so that accounts for the extreme tiredness... your mind is going 100 km's an hour and then it just wants to go into sleep mode because it has done so much work. Think of it like running for a long period of time.. the longer you run the more tired you feel, same goes with anxiety and the mind... thinking too much and worrying just makes you body want to sleep to reboot it self. It is good that you started seeing a doctor again.. have they referred you to a psychologist?

My best,

Jay

Yes that makes sense. I haven't been referred yet. I had to have some blood tests first then we will go from there. I'm not seeing the doctor until Friday but wish it was sooner. I'm not feeling great hopefully I can push through the week. Are you on medication at all?

thanks

Hi Miss1234,

Hopefully they do refer you to a psychologist, the right one can really help. I do not take medication as I don't like too... I prefer using mind techniques to help overcome anxiety.... I am good at using distractions to not think about my anxiety (listen to music, speak to friends, go to a family members house). Everyone has their own ways and many people on here do use medication.

Can you bring the doctor appointment forward?

My best,

Jay
