I'm suffering from all of the above and am not coping at all. Am all alone, lonely and terribly afraid. The road to recovery will be long and hard and don't have the energy to go on but too cowardly to suicide, but want the pain to stop. Medication not enough and no psychologists available at the moment.
Breakup with woman Christmas Eve, all alone Xmas day, forced to sell home and terrified about starting over in a strange place, covid stopped me from seeing family for a year, car written off 3 days before Xmas. Can't cope, feel like a motherless child. Keep replaying breakup to punish myself because I screwed up, my fault.
Where do lonely seniors meet others? Dating sites, no good.

We're so sorry to hear how stressful life has been, particularly, over the last few weeks. We're sorry to hear about your separation. We acknowledge how overwhelming and disruptive it can be to lose someone so close. We think it's reasonable to feel sad and lost given all the stress you have endured over the last two weeks. Please know that life can get better and our community is here to offer their advice and support during this difficult period.
Can we ask, do you have any mental health support? We understand it can be really tough to cope sometimes, especially if you don't have a lot of support from family or friends. If you would like some help finding mental health support, we would recommend that you get in contact with the Beyond Blue Support Service. They are available 24/7 by phone on 1300 22 4636 or on Webchat 3pm-12am AEST on our website: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport - They will give you support and point you in the right direction for help in your area.
Many of our members have also been through a lot in their lives and will be able to talk through these feelings with you. If you would like to post further, please tell us more about what's on your mind and how we can best help support you.

Hello Grizzly mivi,
Welcome to the forums, I am glad you have felt able to reach out. I am sorry things are feeling so lonely, scary and hopeless right now. It sounds like the past few weeks have been really difficult for you. Have you been able to see your GP to talk about what is happening? They may be able to help and refer you to a service that is available. The phone counselling services can also be a great support, especially when you feel like no one is there - Lifeline you can call 13 11 14 or go online to chat via the webchat if you prefer and there are the various services on https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/national-help-lines-and-websites too.
Please do not hesitate to talk more as and when you feel up to it. Take care.
