Hello FlearlessLFC, and a warm welcome to the forums.
I'm not qualified to say but know from experience that I believe you can, simply because a new drug, (if this is the situation), which may have been prescribed, your brain has to adjust it, plus your symptom such as shortness of breath creates your heart rate to increase.
This is exactly what happened to me, and those around me began to ask some questions.
If the dosage in some drugs is increased, may also cause this until your body adapts.
This is a question Nurse Jenn could ask.
Best wishes.
Geoff.

Hi FearlessLFC,
Thank you for your post and your question! You are right in that this is an odd one, but anxiety looks different in everyone so no symptom surprises me!
Can you elaborate more on what it feels like being high/drunk? I go a bit giggly when I'm drunk but I highly doubt this is what you're referring to!
Is it like a dream like state or a sense of being 'out of touch'? Or a little bit off-balance/unsteady?
I have no doubt that however odd or distressing it may feel, it's totally 'normal' for anxiety.
I've linked to some other threads below that might be relatable -

Hopefully this helps
