Ocd with odd numbers

Ok this may seem odd but been this way for as long as I can remember. And hubby brought this to my attention tonight as I was crunching figures like I always do every fortnight. I have a thing where if I see an odd number sitting in the balance of my bank account I have to round it off whether it be in relation to the minus or the positive figures. Has never crossed my mind to see it as an obsession until tonight how blind am I xx Am I the only one who does this? Love to get people's thoughts on this 😊

hello Fairwings, absolutely, that's definitely what someone with OCD has to do or should I say think about, because if it's not the correct way how you think it should be, then your OCD kicks in and makes you anxious.
Please don't worry about this, it's common for OCD sufferers.
I am about to log off but will check this post tomorrow. Geoff.

Thanks for your reply xx drives me bonkers

Hi Fairywings,

As soon as I read the subject of this post I knew I could relate.

I have this thing where I need things to be on odd numbers. For example, music on my iPad, when I add new music to it, I need to add a certain amount of songs so the song total is always an odd number. I.E If I have 683 songs on there, and I add 5 songs to make it 688 songs.. I need to add one more song so it finishes on a odd number 689. I am not diagnosed with OCD or anything, I find it more to do with my anxiety but I do something very similar to you so please don't feel you are the only one.

My best for you,

Jay
