Hi my names Alex I've had anxiety for about 4 months and I've had symptoms I'm not sure if they are normal for anxiety my symptoms are
Week muscles
I keep feeling my pulse
Eyes are dry and blurry vision
More pimples than normal
My tummy is empty even. Tho I've eaten
Weightloss
I keep thinking I have a bad desease
Feels like lumps in neck
Throat feels smaller
Swollen glands
Feels like the back of my head is different
Sore back
And breathing difficulties
Heart palpitations nearly all the time
If anyone could help me maybe someone could tell me about their symptoms to put me at ease thanks...

Hi Alex,
You have done the right thing by reaching out. I am not a health professional so can’t really say why you are feeling the way you are feeling.
Have you been to a GP yet? I would suggest that would be the best place to start.
I went through something similar recently where I was having most of the symptoms you are having which made me go to hospital 5-6 times.
What put me to ease was having all the tests done to rule out anything to do with the physical health.
Once I was cleared by my doctors, I decided to seek help from a Psychologist which was quite helpful in changing the way I was thinking. I continue to have some of the physical symptoms but they are not as bothersome as before and I am hoping that they will go away eventually.
I hope this helps. Stay positive.

Hi Casper121,
Thanks for your post.
From what I know about anxiety, there is no symptom that isn't connected, even if it feels rare. Anxiety is a bit holistic in that it doesn't really mind which part of the body it effects, whether it's your heart, your stomach or your back. Even if it seems weird (like I'm anxious but anxiety isn't in my back?), it's still connected - because when we get anxious our muscles tighten and contract, which can lead to pain in the back as one of the symptoms.
I hope that this makes sense. I also agree with NoGivenName in that it's probably worth going to the GP just to rule things out. You can also search for "health anxiety" up the top to look at other peoples threads and their own symptoms, as well as how they cope.

Hi Casper121,
To answer your question - yes. It's a bit weird like that, in the way that it seems to help some people with anxiety calm down, and in others, creates anxiety.
If it helps, I have the biological/neuroscience reason on my computer so I can copy and paste that for you - but the short answer is that yes, it makes sense.
