Hi BB community,
First time poster here! I'm wondering if anyone knows of psych (preferably in Melbourne but also open to virtual sessions) who specialises in panic disorders/ palpitations/ being hyper aware of your heart beat?
Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi Madelyn,
I am from SA, but you could always speak to your GP and get them to refer you to a specialised psychologist that they think is right for you. Your GP will be able to help you find one.
I hope it works out,
Jaz.

Hi, just my silly opinion but I think it's good to go through a friend who has seen the person. Gps may be able to hekpmbut fr many of us survivors of trauma etc and those needing specialised treatment, the gp wasn't able to find someone suitable.
I found my specialist through a friend wh knew humans worked with him.
I also found my gp through a friend I trusted, who orked int he health system. Gps may make suggestions but sometimes one ha to think outside the box to find someone excellent.
