Lonely

I just joined to the app and group. I used to work a lot but since the company I work for cut my hours to hire younger people and paying them the half of what they pay me really bumped me. Dealing with anxiety and depression for 2 years, my partner just left for work for a couple of weeks , not sure how to fill up my hours. I go to the gym, for walks, but mostly cooking, watching TV and drinking alcohol, I'm afraid is gonna get worse but I don't want to worry my partner as we need the money and he would come back to be with me.

Hi, welcome

From my own experience it doesnt take much to turn your daily life around.

Alcohol, you dont need people telling you that it is one thing you dont need that often leads to negative experiences not to mention the finances. So I suggest you seek out some soft drinks like lemon lime and bitters or even a small investment in a home soda stream product that has numerous flavours like green tea, LLB's and many others.

But imo there's also the deeper part of life that you can delve into that can make every moment a dream come true. eg When I walk our dogs I try to focus on bees collecting nectar, different birds, ducks and their ducklings or a chat with an elderly person about history of our town. It's all there, free and intriguing.

To help you connect to this valuable line of thinking I follow a guy on youtube called "Prem Rawat Maharaji" and he's simply amazing. A few examples of many are- (use google)

  • Prem Rawat Maharaji sunset
  • Prem Rawat Maharaji the perfect instrument

and Pre Rawat Maharaji All is well                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     There's many more. They aqlso help you relax so before sleeping I use my slow deep breathing techniques and listen to him then find it easier to doze off.

It also sounds like you dont have a hobby. They arent cheap, but a $2 shop can supply basic creative things like icy pole sticks etc that you can use your creativity with.

I hope that helps. Reply if you desire to.
