Hey, so I haven't been myself for nearly a week now and it's getting to me. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression (even though I don't necessarily feel depressed) a few days ago and I just feel overwhelmed. I want to feel better and I'm just afraid of going to work for some reason even though I know I'll be fine, just wanting to stay home because I feel more comfortable there. Just not been a good week and I just want to feel better, I miss my old town so much but I can't go back, I hope tomorrow is better I really do

The warmest of welcomes to you at such a challenging time in your life.
I'm wondering if it would help to change 'I just want to feel better' to 'I just want to get a better feel for or sense of what this thing is that I'm feeling'. To be able to gain a good sense of what it is exactly that where feeling, it definitely isn't always straight forward, especially if what we're feeling are mixed emotions or a number of challenges coming in all at the same time.
- In our working environment we can be feeling or sensing our resistance to change, the emotions of others (bit of an empath thing), dissatisfaction in the job or the wrong job for us, too heavy a work load based on our nature, an environment that doesn't offer enough inspiration etc
- From a soulful perspective, we can be feeling or sensing a longing. It could be a longing to return to what used to positively fuel us or bring us a sense of peace, a longing to return or turn again to those who were our most trusted and reliable guides or perhaps a longing for something else
- From a developmental perspective, we can be feeling or sensing new aspects of ourself coming to life or maybe some old facets of ourself coming back to life. The sage in us may suddenly begin insisting 'You need to find your comfort zone and make it the most productive zone you possibly can. Make it your home base from which all great ideas and actions stem from'. The pessimist, stresser or saboteur in us may be insisting 'Find your comfort zone and stay in there. It's safe. Whatever you do, don't move out of it'
From my own experience as a sensitive gal, I'd say my issue is not with feeling or sensing, it's more so with not being able to identify what it is that I'm feeling or sensing. Once I know what it is, I can manage it (either on my own or with help from others). Also, from my own experience with anxiety and depression, they have always been side effects of something. Whether that 'something' is physically based, mentally based or soulfully based, I've found it always pays to wonder and not simply accept anxiety or depression. ❤️
