Hey Nervousnelly,
Thank you for sharing here. We’re sorry to hear how much your anxiety is affecting you. Anyone who has had sleep disruptions knows how much it can impact mental and physical health.
Is there a health professional you are linked with that you can discuss this with? This could be a good first step if you haven’t already done so. Talking with your GP may help identify support options they recommend.
It sounds like you have a lot on your mind, and it’s not uncommon for this to feel like it all suddenly hits at night. It makes sense too, as there are often fewer distractions and our thoughts can feel louder and harder to ignore. Are there any strategies you’re using at the moment? We have a page that goes through sleep and mental health, including tips to improve sleep. The Sleep Health Foundation also have great resources for insomnia and trouble sleeping, including a list of online, low or no-cost sleep programs.
If you can’t sleep and need to talk to someone, the Beyond Blue Support Service is available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636, or you can use our webchat here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/
Thank you again for sharing here. We hope some of the above might be helpful. It can truly be overwhelming to go through, and we are here whenever you need.
Take good care of yourself, Nervousnelly 💙
Kind regards
Sophie M
