Hi, welcome
Fear is a terrible feeling but I think your courage is to be admired.
In these situations time is your friend, eventually the abuser usually moves on but of course preventative measures need to be taken, have you spoken to anyone regarding that?
I've known some people that go to extreme lengths like interstates moves but IMO moving so far away from you roots isnt so good as you'll suffer to be away from "home". My idea is to move about 2-3 suburbs away, where the large shopping centres are different to your nearby one at your old place. Often abusers wont go visiting a shopping centre thats so far away. That way you can have your friends visit and retain your lifestyle.
If you want to mention anything else we are all ears and its fully anonymous here.
Have you seen a GP about your anxiety?

Hi Helena,
I think you’re very brave to share your experience in the group.
it is scary leaving an abusive situation and it is natural to have anxiety.
At this time you need to be kind to yourself and let yourself process and begin healing. I hope that you have lots of support both professionally and with family and friends.
be proud of yourself and know that you are strong and worthwhile.
take care xx

Hi Helena,
Your’e an incredibly brave person. It took so much courage to leave and to reach out for help on here.
It’s completely understandable that you feel anxiety leaving your safe space after what you have been through.
I strongly encourage you to reach out to a professional about how you are feeling. You are worth getting help to live life the way you want 💖
All the best,
Sarah.
