I feel so down right now. My wife doesn't understand and often her actions are making me feel worse.
Instead of being their for me and showing some support she goes off and has a drink with her friend.....a questionable friend because my wife has previous purchased smokes for us and groceries.

Hi Rossco,
Thank you for sharing how you've been feeling with the community, we're so sorry you've been feeling unsupported but please know we are all here for you during this difficult time.
It can be hard when those close to us can't see how much we're hurting, you've taken a great step in sharing here and we wanted to provide some resources that may be helpful.
It might be worth having a look at the 1800Respect pages on healthy relationships. You could also speak to Relationships Australia on 1300 364 277. They also have some great advice on their website, such as topics on communication in relationships which could be helpful in seeking some extra support from your wife.
It sounds like it's having an impact on how you're feeling day to day, so please know that there’s always someone here for you to talk it through with. The Beyond Blue counsellors are available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or online, here or through our chat. We’re sure our warm and kind community will spot your post soon.
Kind regards,
Sophie M
