Hey mate. I suffer from anxiety and severe panic attacks. I'm doing it tuff atm but when my anxiety plays up,I do breathing exercises on YouTube and can be downloaded from app store on your phone. Remember, anxiety dosnt last for ever,,it seems like it at the time but it eventually goes away!#peace

Hi Tricky Mick

Welcome to our forums. We hope you find them useful and supportive.

When you got diagnosed did your doctor suggest any next steps? Why do you feel like you are losing friends?

In terms of techniques, here are a few of things that work for me:

- breathing exercises eg breath in for five, hold for six, breathe out for seven

- stretching on the floor in front of the TV, especially putting my legs straight up against the wall - sounds weird but it helps!

- mindfulness - focusing on the present and describing to myself the senses I am feeling

Other things I do to manage my anxiety:

- regular exercise - I do bootcamp, my own strength training at home, yoga, walking and swimming. I don't push myself but I am consistent

- eating a variety of fresh food and lots of water

- meditation when things are feeling overwhelming

What is going on in your world? Are you working? What are your interests?
