Hi Tricky Mick
Welcome to our forums. We hope you find them useful and supportive.
When you got diagnosed did your doctor suggest any next steps? Why do you feel like you are losing friends?
In terms of techniques, here are a few of things that work for me:
- breathing exercises eg breath in for five, hold for six, breathe out for seven
- stretching on the floor in front of the TV, especially putting my legs straight up against the wall - sounds weird but it helps!
- mindfulness - focusing on the present and describing to myself the senses I am feeling
Other things I do to manage my anxiety:
- regular exercise - I do bootcamp, my own strength training at home, yoga, walking and swimming. I don't push myself but I am consistent
- eating a variety of fresh food and lots of water
- meditation when things are feeling overwhelming
What is going on in your world? Are you working? What are your interests?

Thank you Blue Jane I have tried your techniques and they are very helpful I have heard of these techniques
breath in for five, hold for six, breathe out for seven that is my favourite one to do as it is easy to do and helps me to relax more
