Confused, Anxious and Feel Alone

Heavy drug user, starting to hear things lately, like people talking about me when I'm in another room, and struggling to work out what's real or not, really scary place to be in. I'm really not sure on what to do, it's affecting all aspects of my life and I feel as though I've got nobody even though my friends and family are telling me the things I think I'm hearing aren't real. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks.

Hi Titan7986,

Welcome to Beyond Blue, it is so nice to have you join us. Sorry to hear that you are going through such a hard time right now and that hearing voices has been affecting all aspects of your life. We can only imagine how difficult that must be for you. It must be scary to not know what is real and what isn't and we can understand that this would be creating some confusion within you.

Have you spoken to your GP about your symptoms? It might be worthwhile to get a mental health assessment. If you would like some help finding mental health support, we would recommend that you get in contact with the Beyond Blue Support Service. They are available 24/7 by phone on 1300 22 4636 or on Webchat 1pm-12am AEST on our website: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport  One of our friendly counsellors will be able to talk through these feelings with you and can offer support, advice and referrals.

You are not alone and the community is here to support you. Please continue to visit the forum and check in with us.

Thankyou very much for the reply🙂
