Has anyone else suffered from physical anxiety symptoms and if so what type of symptoms have you had and how did you deal with them. I just don't see how these weird symptoms and sensations are from severe anxiety I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle sometimes.

Last year before my wedding I had my first anxiety attack.

I now still get them occasionally but the chest pains really scare me. The doctors say that I'm fine and healthy and it's just anxiety. I just want the chest pains to go away. I have had blood tests and an ECG and they came back normal. When I take my mind off of the pain it all goes away. Why do I get the chest pains even when I'm not having a anxiety or panic attack? I just want it to stop 😞

hello, thank you for sharing your symptoms,I do meditation but still find I have nausea most of the day and it still takes over my mind, I t is nice to see on here that I am not alone, that so many others suffer too, There is no quick cure I know and I wish there was a way of stopping our suffering. I have had anxiety on and off for 20 years when I 1st went to doctor was told it was bored housewife syndrome . I am glad that today it is reconised for the awful things that anxiety /depression can do and that there is now help available. Talking to some one who is the same makes it so much easier to bear, Thanks every one for your helpful input

Recently I have a strange feeling in my head. Very vague like it's not real (life) Heavy in my head, mild headache I suppose, bad ringing in my ears from tinnitus. This causes me to panic and get intense rush in my body. My mind gets exhausted and need to just sleep all the time. Very scared now and can't find help, my symptoms my gp says are vague she doesn't understand and it feels like no one does and that there's something very wrong with me and I'm too deep in this and won't get out. I don't know what else to do..

Hi Bella,

hope you are well. I developed anxiety about 2 months ago, that I assume has built up over a longer period. I work I highly stressful job with long hours and overtime, I study full time online with Macquarie university, and only recently I've started working at a family members cafe. About a month ago my fiance's mother was diagnosed with late stage cancer. My anxiety started with a burning in the chest, and stomach pains. After multiple visits to the ER, full blood tests, ECG, chest x ray even a neck CT, all tests have come back normal. My panic attacks have subsided. But I'm left with this lingering muscle soreness mostly through my neck, shoulders and back . Sometimes it moves through my body down to my hips, my thighs and joints even. Scary stuff. Anyway the pain seems to come on as throbbing in a certain area and gets worse when I concentrate on it, then it goes away. Usually by the end of the day I'm left so stiff and sore, which I assume is from the muscle soreness and tension. You are not alone, these things I guess take their time and lots of healing to get back to normal. My back is a million times better when compared to a month ago, but the healing process is taking time. The chest tightness can be scary as well. Hope you get the help you need and start feeling better. Wondering if anyone else gets these symptoms as well?

Hi Bella..

thanks for telling your story. All I can say is from my experience is that I initially started out with the usual symptoms of chest pain and adrenaline rush. Before it all started. I had a chronic infection in my gum above one of my eye teeth for 20 years. It would pimple up and I could get some out from time to time. No dentist I went to knew what it was. After 2 root canals and eventually having the tooth extracted, after few months it's still there. It would hurt and I always feel it there and I'd stress about it. Eventually I saw a specialist and he recognised it straight away and operated on it and it was gone. Few months later my fears returned when I could just sense the feeling there is different and swear I could feel it moving up into my ears and into my brain. I've had an MRI brain and it's all clear but I'm left with small headaches, dizzy, can feel that area of my tooth different. Lethargic and short of breathe.

this is on top of a lot of other very stressful things I went through. My loving mother tells me it's muscle memory. She's been through a lot like chronic fatigue and brought up 5 kids on her own working a minimum wage job. Now she's 71 and is younger than I've ever known her before.

so I've learnt anxiety can linger in your body anywhere from stories I've read.. it's tough as I am learning now, to find the right treatment. But keep reaching out to your family and as hard as it is start taking your mind off the pains. See a gp and psychologist is a good start. All the best mate.

Hi Humbleb,

have you ever experienced the sharp shooting pains that seem to move around the body randomly, they are freaking me out the most! wonder if anybody else has had this experience. The power of anxiety and how the body reacts is just amazing....

Hi FN2199

yes I have.. I can feel them anywhere, lately in my stomach and that can trigger an adrenaline rush throughout the body. Sometimes tingles, sharp pains. It's your nerves doing this. It feels like just under the skin mainly.

ive learnt that anxiety can control your body. I'm having a real tough time at the moment. But continuing on my journey to recovery. Getting a cat scan today and seeing a psychologist, then on Thursday getting some blood test results and this should clear some worry up a bit.

all the best mate, but speak to your gp, try not to google too much it can increase your worry. Read more in these forums. Speak to your family and friends. Feel free to ask more I keep my eye on a few threads here.
