anyone suffering physical anxiety symptoms

I've been having more and more physical anxiety symptoms and they are really starting to scare me I suffer from health anxiety so these symptoms are making me terrified and taking over my every day life. Has anyone else suffered from physical anxiety symptoms and if so what type of symptoms have you had and how did you deal with them. I just don't see how these weird symptoms and sensations are from severe anxiety I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle sometimes.

it is nice to know someone else has similar symptoms because of it. I also get little pricks around my body and no mark or bruise to let me know it was really there. It feels like you would rather something bite you like a mossie or bug to know you aren't crazy.
not liking all the blood tests that went with it. One thing I know is that the biting feeling on my head wasn't just me making it up. Now this will probably make most feel itchy in the head but we found a flea. Apparently there are human fleas. This explained the severe headaches and swolleness of my head. But all that constant anxiety still leaves the aftermath of it all. It was a big relief when my doctor did some looking up and such to come to a conclusion of how it all started. They stated that because of the constant biting it cause the inflammation which how prolonged it was causing chronic inflammation which killed the cells around it. Crazy!!!
Unfortunately it didn't completely help the anxiety. With all the other physical symptoms that come with it it still makes my mind race. Hopefully with the right attitude it will go. A hobby would be good to get the mind off it. Hope it all goes well for all and even when done I will still try help on the forum as the forum is helping me realise I'm not going crazy and that anxiety is the main cause.

sounds like a hard time, but just know you are not alone. I for one have had most of those symptoms. At worse I found it was al the tension in my jaw muscles that caused my jaw to feel sore and once I knew this was it it went away.
some things will go away once you find a cause. Don't google anything but look at what is going on and say this.
"where is it coming from?"
my jaw for example was clicky but that wasn't a good reason so I felt more and noticed that it ran up my jaw close to the ears. I felt around that area and I could feel the muscle was very tense. Unfortunately the most painful thing with stress and anxiety is the muscles get tense to the point they hurt. Which explains why a lot have chest pain. I had chest pain until I did the same thing and felt my chest muscles were extremely tense. I got so bad that now I need shoulder and neck MRI because the tension was so bad around those areas that now when relaxed they still hurt and can't bare weight on my left arm. Doc thinks it maybe a torn muscle (doubt it as I had a torn chest muscle once and I couldn't move at all for days) or a pinched nerve. So my advise would be to try and find something that relaxes not only your body but your mind. It maybe a hobby, listening to music, yoga or even going for a drive. Everyone is different and once you find what relaxes you make it part of your routine.
i think a confidence boost would help. The best way to go is to be around motivating people. I have low confidence at times and just don't want to bother with anything but just hearing from a few people how good you are at some thing is a great way to gain it back. I'm sure you will succeed in your goals as long as you have faith in yourself. Don't think of failing but think about succeeding in your course and I am sure you will come out on top. I wish you all the luck in your course and am sure you will do very well. I know of a couple of people in the travel industry and they both love it.

Hi Lotty,
Welcome to the forums. I don't get on much these days but have found the forums helpful and hope you do to. I know what I was like when I submitted my first anxious post so I hope you are still hanging around looking for replies because I see it has been a couple of days. Anyway just thought I would let you know someone is listening. Sorry to hear of your struggles.

Reading these symptoms is the best thing that's happened to me for awhile because these things are impossible to explain to other people, and even though my partner knows about my anxiety she still doesn't get how it makes my body feel.
Times when I actually feel good are as seldom as once a week, and all day I have sweats, migraines, stomach pains, sensitive eyes, sore ankles, and inability to fell comfortable in any situation. I have had to have hours of physio to remove the tension out of my shoulder and back muscles.
The frustrating thing is that I know these symptoms won't go away until the anxiety does, and I have had anxiety since I was a child and now I'm 27 and it's only getting worse, so I can't see an end to this. I have a child on the way so I need to get better but I can't.

It makes me weep reading this thread. It's so GREAT to read everyone's stories and not feel alone with all the physical stuff that goes with anxiety, but so sad that we all have these things. On the other hand, i guess that acknowledging that they are all caused by anxiety is a good thing as it means accepting the need to work with our anxiety to feel better. So there's a bright side.
My issues are with muscle pain (shoulders, neck and back; an arm that goes tingly in the night); digestive strife especially when i'm very stressed (my digestive system just seizes up and I get constipated and lots of gurgling in my tummy when things start to improve); and it's hard to breathe; and then there's the insomnia which has been especially challenging for the past 6 weeks. It kind of feels like my body freezes with fear and letting go, in whatever way, is really hard.
I love yoga and use an app called yoga studio quite often. When I have trouble getting out of my head enough to focus on doing the stretches i know help me, its good to have the 'little lady' on the video talking me along. That helps with the muscle pain. But its still a problem especially lately so I use anti-inflammatory cream, and sometimes take anyi-inflammatories, and have hot showers and do physio exercises . Massage is great but not very affordable. For digestion I eat natural yoghurt every day with porridge and add ground linseeds (sometimes LSA) and psyllium husk as well as a few prunes or figs.
About insomnia, I used the module about sleep on the MyCompass website and found it quite helpful. But the insomnia seems to be pretty difficult to shift maybe because there are lots of reasons for it that I need to deal with--lots of changes in my life, hormonal things (I'm 55). I read something lately that was kind of helpful though -- it said that in past times people didn't expect to sleep solidly for a whole night and viewed waking in the night as normal --a kind of time for meditation or reflection -- and that equally, having a nap in the day was thought to be fine. This is the opposite of the 'sleep hygiene' doctrine that says you shouldn't let yourself nap in the day and should keep the same bedtime and get up times. But it kind of encouraged me to accept the situation and not freak out about it so much.
I think acceptance of the anxiety and the symptoms is a big thing. We need compassion for ourselves in order to find ways of dealing with it.
