Hi Catherine54,
It depends quite a bit on what type of medication you're taking. I trialled a few medications, unfortunately most did not work for me as I had unpleasant mental side effects. Physically, on one of the medications I also got a heavy kind of headache that receded. I was also quite irritable and agitated on another medication which caused a bit of shakiness. I also experienced some nausea. I recommend talking to your doctor about the side effects and the best ways to avoid or minimise the side effects. They would only usually increasing medication if the lower dose was working well, is this the case? If it is it might be worth sticking out the physical symptoms for a bit if they don't get in the way of your everyday life much.
Hope this helps a bit,
idek

Was on a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, after 5 so weeks it started showing effect and was pretty ok. 9 weeks of so I realised I couldnt really feel a wide aray of emotions, which was good, I wasnt super depressed but I wasnt ever super happy. 14 weeks and the effects dwindled overall and my options were to increase dosage or try another drug. I ended up going off them. Had the side effect of not being able to get the a libido a lil bitty. Tbh though I wouldnt expect the drug to start showing effect before 2 weeks min, it takes a while to kick in fully at least from what I was told.
Perhaps try another drug, I wouldnt ditch it for at least the 4 week mark though to really understand the effects, unless of course its screwing stuff up.
