Anxious about moving on

I'm brand new to online forums, or even speaking about my anxiety to people.

im not really sure what to write or expect, but assuming it's good just to vent in the hopes that someone understands.

i have had anxiety since I was about 16. I took an overseas trip alone and it has been the most debilertating part of my life ever since!

i have always been the type of person who becomes very attached to friendships and people in my life and tend to focus all my energy on these relationships, to the point where I'm overrun by anxiety at the thought of change or loss of these people. It's something I don't ever talk about because I find it embarrassing.

i really could go on and on about all the things that make me anxious - job changes, pending holidays, even a shift at work.

Hi Bzamilly, welcome here

You dont say your age. I'll assume mid 20's.

There hasnt been any apparent treatment or diagnosis. This is the first step and well overdue. Your GP is where you go. Yell him your fears. He'll take the action you need.

Read up a lot here. There is a huge amount of stories here.

Anxiety is a serious illness. Treat it so.

Message above is true, when decided to get serious about my depression. First step, which can be hard... Is seeing a GP and just let all the words spill out... And they can analyse what they think may be a good psychologist/counselling for your situation... From there I found I just vomited words and started making progress forwards. 🙂 I wish you good health
