Hi again,
Ive had a similar condition for 35 years. I suggest you talk to your pharmacist or GP as there are some over the counter items for relief.
I have bowel spasms and they're very painful.
Relaxation exercises do prevent these often.
I hope that helps.

Hi there,
Welcome to the forums. I’ve struggled with anxiety and IBS for a while now which has really affected my digestive system. I always speak to my doctor about this which has been super helpful. I suggest you do the same to see how you can improve your diet and take medication to help your digestive system if needed. I would also suggest deep breathing exercises which I have relied on for ages now. They are so relaxing and calm your muscles right down. See if you can find one you like.
It definitely is not easy, but you don’t have to face it alone. I hope you get the support you need and that your anxiety and tense stomach gets better. Take care 🙂

Hi there Brent,
anxiety belly aches are super common and can feel really disruptive, im sorry you're experiencing this. Theres a few thingsI would do to try and resolve this. The first being to speak with your healthcare provider about whether the medications are causing stomach pains, just so you can rule out that possibility. The second thing is like white knight suggested would be to do deep belly breathing to relax the muscles in your belly and increase oxygen flow to your stomach. This is not only great physically but also mentally.
Good clean food is also important. Not only does it help your gut, but also you mood and energy levels which are linked to your gut health. Focus on foods like greek yogurt, berries, bananas, leafy greens, brown rice, chicken, fish and eggs. I also like to drink warm tea to help sooth my stomach. As someone who hates the taste of tea, I have found the higher living liquorice tea to be a game changer, its so delicious and i often pair it with some dark chocolate after dinner.
All these things help both your physical and mental wellbeing.
I hope this helps a bit, sometimes focusing in on the basics like keeping your mind calm, and body nourished with healthy foods can make a HUGE difference.
Kindest regards,
Daydreamer.
