Anxiety and bad experiences while job seeking

Hi,
This is my first time posting and I am not the best at articulating myself so sorry if this post is a mess. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for my post as it is not directly related to anxiety.
I am mostly writing this because I need to get it off my
chest. I am very sad at the moment and it’s difficult for me to talk about with
people I know.
I recently completed a pet grooming course and I have been searching
for a job. This job search has been so disheartening. I was told before I
completed my course by the institute that there is a high demand for groomers
but I was not told that no one wants to train you, they all want experience. And the ones that don't want experience want an "early school-leaver" so a 16-year-old that they can exploit for cheap labour. Also, every company you
apply for wants you to do unpaid trials which are not directly supervised so
therefore illegal.
I recently applied for a job and received a rude message
back from the employer. I do not understand why they were so angry at me. They
said that I was clearly not suitable because I lived in another state but I
have double-checked and the business is in the same state as me.
This message has left me so confused and disheartened. Adding
to this is a bad pet sitting experience with a family.
I am so lost. I do not
want to continue job searching in such an industry and my anxiety and bad
experiences is making it almost impossible for me to do so. I am not really sure what to do.
Thank you for reading this.

Hi Ellie,
Welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry you're going through such a hard time trying to find work. It sounds like a really difficult industry to break into.
Can you try contacting the school you did the course through and asking if they know anyone who is looking for an older trainee? Or maybe give that employer who emailed you a call and check they sent their email to the right person as you definitely are in the same state? Although I understand why you might not want to work for them now.
Try not to take the rejections personally. Each job can only hire one person, but they might get dozens of applications.
I hope things start looking up for you soon. If this is what you really want to do then I hope you keep looking.
Good luck, Jess.

Hi Ellie
This is my first time posting too.I'm actually a groomer and yes it's very hard to find employment for the reasons you just said I did a few trails and didn't get the job either try getting a job in a pet store that also offers grooming and Express your interest also if you have any family or friends with dogs practice your grooming on them and just keep applying for jobs if you get knocked back then just keep trying. Good luck
