Hello!
I noticed my first sign of anxiety when i came back from a 6 month holiday in Europe, i have recently come back from Bali and have noticed it again. Noticed probably isn't the best word to use since its constantly there.
I do not have anxiety while on holiday only when i return home, i have no other reason to feel anxious when i return home. This time round seems to be more powerful, as in i can't control or distract my anxiety.
I have learnt ways to deal with my anxiety and this usually works, i also have a family member who works in mental health who usually gives me techniques and has been 'counselling' me. Although this time round that family member is away so its not so easy to contact them.
If anyone else has had similar anxiety issues, please give me some advise 🙂

Hi Gab,
Welcome to the forum!
I'm sorry to hear you get anxiety after a holiday. It is great that your family member is usually able to counsel you and provide coping strategies. In the meantime, you could see your doctor (GP) for a check-up and to discuss the persistent anxiety you're experiencing at present.
There is a previous thread by someone who experienced post-holiday anxiety. While no two experiences are the same, you may find it helpful to read about their experience and see the advice others gave. Woah, I was literally about to find the link, and saw that you'd just posted in the thread! Good on you for joining this thread!
If you want to talk to someone right now, you can call the beyond blue 24/7 helpline on 1300 22 4636. The person answering will be friendly, patient and non-judgemental 🙂
Best wishes,
SM
