Hi people
Female age 22. the last few weeks have been extremely stressful for me. I already have ptsd and severe anxiety and the last week moving home, being away from family, university assignments, worrying about the past and future especially has really put a strain on me. I noticed my stomach had been off and I’m having looser stools and nausea, just feel yucky in general. I was also on a probiotic which I don’t know if that contributed to the diahrea because I also felt crap after taking that too. I’m just scared what if I’m dying and I just feel on edge a lot now. My anxiety has been stable for some time but this just threw everything off.
im sorry if it looks like I’m complaining I just needed to talk somewhere.
hope to hear from anyone

Hi Mina19,
You don't need to apologies, it sounds like you have got a lot going on and a lot on your mind. I am really sorry to hear you are experiencing so much distress at the moment. Are you able to make an appointment with your GP or mental health professional (if you have been seeing one)? I think it would be helpful to be able to go through your questions and concerns with a professional and get the support that you need. Also, please know that nausea and diarrhea/constipation can be symptoms of anxiety - but if you are worried that it may be something else, it is best to see a trained health professional like your GP.
Take care. And please do not hesitate to chat more as and when you feel up to it.

Hey Mina19, I'm sorry to hear of everything your'e dealing with.
As sunnyl20 said, it's common to get nausea and diarrhea/constipation from anxiety, I do aswell. But it would be best to see a GP, and take it from there.
Please know that while we suggest seeing a GP as we're not professionals on here, that doesn't mean we don't care and don't want to support you - we do care and we do want to support you. We're still here for you.

Hi Mina19
I had the exact same physical symptoms a few years back, anxiety is a common cause of gut problems. I know lads at work who have the exactly the same thing. it bugs them too. If you can learn some CBT Thought Challenging techniques for the fear of dying it could really help to calm you down in the really tough times 🙂
