why is me being to depressed to have any motivation to get out of bed and to go to school without having a panic attack treated the same as if I was sick?

does anyone have any suggestions on how to describe how I feel to my parents? they know ive been diagnosed with depression and anxiety but still don't think I'm trying hard enough, but its really hard to try.

Hi. I responded to your other post on music. I could give you a story from my psychologist, but that might not help. You indicated that you have difficulties in talking to you parents about your mental health. The other thing is mental health is not visible like other diseases. You look fine. There cannot be a problem?

I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions...

You said you have been diagnosed with depression. Have you or are you getting professional help with that?

Secondly, what is it about school that troubles you? If you can identify the trigger that creates the panic attack like symptoms, you might have somewhere to start a conversation with your family? These discussions are invariably hard if the other person does not have a lived experience.

I hope you come back and we can chat some more? The people on this forum all understand what you are going through and are supportive.
