I'm really struggling with rounding up any sort of motivation/focus to study.
I have an assignment that I'm now on my second extension for, which is actually due today and I have yet to even start writing it let alone doing all the research for it.
I'm too scared to get into contact with my tutor again because I'm ashamed at the lack of work I've done and I'm starting to considering leaving uni this semester again (which would be mean a tonne of extra paper work and a strong feeling of failure). I'm so disappointed in myself because despite all the stress uni causes me I truly love it and the subjects I have done/am doing, it gives me a sense of purpose and self improvement and I really enjoy it most of the time.
Any tips/suggestions that anyone has would be great. Even if they seem obvious I'm hoping reading them might help me a little.
(I have depression/anxiety if that is at all relevant to any advice. Also I'm not going to leave the house so please don't suggest anything involving going out anywhere, thank you!)
...and yes, this is definitely a form of procrastination.

Hi TA,
I'm sorry to hear that you are still struggling with your assignment. The universe also had other plans for me. Damn it, Universe! *shakes fist at sky* I did well on mine for a day or so but then everything fell apart again... (lack of motivation, a build up of new work, etc) I'm still making progress but not as much as I would like.
I hope you have more luck with your assignment and the universe decides to work in your favor. Thank you for checking in.
P.S Darcy is a canine; a 1 year old staffy x husky to be exact. As much as I love him, he also adds to the study struggle. Contrary to the stereotype it isn't just cats that climb all over the computer as you're trying to get work done.

Hi startingnew,
Thank you, I still haven't spoken to them yet but I plan on sending an email explaining everything later today.
I hope you are doing well.

So Darcy still thinks he's a lap dog does he! Give him an extra pat for me!
Darn motivation! Always did prefer short term goals to long ones! And the motivation never seems to match up with the time availability!
Now DH, off this post and go and get some work done! (Says she who isn't!)

Hahaha, Darcy has very strong beliefs regarding his lap dog status and if he can get near your lap he will sit there whether he fits or not. Will do. 🙂
100% agree with that, even as a kid I couldn't deal with long term goals. Baby steps only.
Okay I'm going, but you have to go and get some work done too (or try to at least)! Good luck!
