dear Lauren, I want to thank you for being brave to post a comment, because it's never easy to be able to to this, but well done.
We have so many nerves when starting a dream job, so much pressure that we have to do what is expected from us, there will be people expecting us to do well and there will always be eyes that we feel are watching us, all of this is normal, believe it or not, it's just that it's takes time for us to settle in, and at first mistakes maybe made, that's only to be expected and your boss will know this, because you have to find where everything is in the building, where the tea room is, where the loo is, what room or floor is the process room, and at first how to find your office, this has to happen until you get settled.
However I wonder if you are afraid or if you are having trouble with any type of anxiety, and have come to this new job from an awkward situation and this is important for us to know so we can then try and help you.
Even if your experience and qualifications are what is needed for this position, it won't matter if you are suffering from any type of depression, because even the CEO of a large company can be stricken down with depression, and please no one can help this, and it's certainly not their fault.
