Hello Gord.103
Welcome to the forums. You are strong to have posted and well done!
I am sorry and sad that you are in this dark place and what you have been through. You are only young too. I have had anxiety for many years and it does get better and lessen in severity over time with a good GP.
If I was 14 and going through what you are I would really try to get to a GP as soon as you can. Do you have a family GP that you have seen before? Also if I may ask you....are you getting any help off your mum or dad? Having a couple of people that you can have a good talk to about what you are going through is always a help.
Gord...these forums are rock solid secure and have young people on them that can be here to support you. You are more than welcome to post back as many times as you wish.
It would be great if you could write back
My kind thoughts for you
Paul

Hi Gord.103,
Welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out to us.
I can see that it's taken a lot of courage to come here and post so I'm really glad that you decided to join and share what's been going on for you. It sounds like it's been pretty hard and that you've had to deal with a lot.
I'm wondering if you've told anyone about what's happened for you - maybe a school counsellor or a GP - even friends or family? It can be really hard to keep things inside so finding a way to talk to people can be a great way to cope - and also to manage your anxiety. Know that you can tell us as much or as little as you like. Opening up is a big deal so that's why we get to all be anonymous.
You asked for some tips too - is this to help with the anxiety? Anxiety can present itself in different ways, but one great tip that can help is being aware of your breathing. When people get anxious often the body is in a 'panic mode' so making sure that you're taking some nice long and deep breaths can help a lot. Also what sort of things do you enjoy? Finding ways to have fun and do relaxing things can also help with your anxiety - whether it's listening to music, drawing, writing or even just being with friends.
Hope this helps a little - we're here for you.

Hi Gord 103;
14 was one of my worst and best yrs. It's a middle ground time for teens. I know what it's like and would love to hear from you.
Could you express what it is you're experiencing? How can you tell it's anxiety for instance? Are the feelings more physical or emotional? In that I mean is there shaking or crying a lot, or feeling as if you can't cope with certain things?
Paul and Romantic have given some good tips. Posting on here might help to talk about things if you're not confident in talking with your doctor or people you know.
Kind thoughts...Dizzy

Hi Gord.103, welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out to us.
I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. Teenage years are hard enough as it is without what you seem to be going through, and it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate.
I can't add to the advice that the other users have mentioned, but I want to offer you my support as well.
We hope to hear from you soon,
Crystal
