Just a huge shout out to the team on the phones for being there and helping my wife find the help that she needed after the Community Assessment Team (CAT) hung up on her when she was in dire need of help for myself.

Fantastic job, I am now in hospital getting the help I soooooooooo dearly needed.

dear Over It, this is a good result but also a disappointing one as well.

Your wife must have been so desperate for advice and support for yourself that the CAT team didn't do, so I hope that these people on this occasion are to be reprimanded by their hierarchy.

This is not the first time that the BB team can hold their heads high above the rest, and that's why it is so important to ring this team in desperation, so that they can take care of you as well as anyone else.

I hope that your stay in hospital proves to be beneficial, but more so I do really hope that you will let us in so that we can help you and assist your lovely wife, because at this stage both of you need the help that is required. Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

Yeh the wife was extremely desperate as I was fully out of control but things are starting to turn around slowly with some med changes and tweaking. Its been very helpful for me  to basically have an escape form life.

I'm, also encouraging the fairer half to join up here so she can have her say, I'm sure she hold back on alot as to not upset me.

OK I finally made it.

I can not thank the wonderful lady I spoke to on the phone last week enough

i guess i am not sure how things would of gone without the help my husband and I got from Beyond Blue

I am making steps to report the incident in regard to the CAT Team call I made only because I would not like to think that others would get the same treatment that I received

It was not an easy call to make

Then again neither was the call to Beyond Blue when you have never been in a situation like I was in that night and I will say again how very grateful I am for the help we received, the kindness and understanding.

dear Pixie, it's great that you have posted, this site is just another avenue for you to get help from all of these wonderful people who are still going through different types of depression, but have and will reply back to other people and in this case it's you and your wife.

Even though they haven't conquered this nasty illness their aim is to help as many people as possible with their own experiences, while there are some of us who have been through hell and back but have now overcome this disease, and our aim is no different than those other people still having troubles.

So basically it's a site to talk about what your concerns are, and there is never any criticism, because BB would never allow this to happen.

If and when you would like to make contact with us and talk about what has happened then please do so, because you will have many people jump on board to offer support, help or even suggestions.

It's lovely to hear from you, and we know that the BB team would go over board to help you. L Geoff. x

Just an update,

I'm now home again feel sort of ok with a fair bit of confusion going on med wise because the docs want me off some as they don't work and aren't replacing them with anything so I'm having conflict with myself as to whether I should take any meds at all.

Im sure as long as I can get a regular amount of sleep everything will be fine.

Sick of doctors having their secret meetings and only giving me limited information about my own health because in the end its my health and not theirs. 

Sorry for the rant but I'm having this constant med battle in head guess I'll just go for a walk until my mind changes.
