Hello,
I'm new here. I have recently been diagnosed with BPD and am looking for support from others in this situation. I am 41 so this new diagnosis is strange having gone through my life this whole time with this but not knowing. I am not sure which forum might be best to join for this? Trauma and ptsd?
Thanks

Hi Active Anna,
I would like to give you a caring welcome to the forums 🙂
I think you’re very brave to reach out here. I imagine your recent diagnosis means you have a lot to process, so I’m particularly glad you’re here.
You’re welcome to participate in any forum that you think best suits your needs. I believe there are some lovely members who have BPD, so maybe I would suggest searching BPD in the beyondblue search bar to see what comes up?
I find most people have one main personal support thread, regardless of which forum it’s in. It’s because it’s easier for the other members to get a fuller picture of what a person is going through, and be able to try to provide better support 🙂
I hope this helps a little.
kindness and care,
Pepper

Hi active Anna just wanted to say welcome even if I have not been diagnosed with anything yet although I’ve done a psychologists quiz that my gp gave me which I scored high in the high section or whatever it’s called but she definitely believes I have depression.
