Hello my name is Shilou I have joined beyondblue to be able to speak to other people going through depression and panick disorder.
I do not know anyone else around me with a mental health issue, so I would like to meet people who understand the condition, and
pull on experiences that may assist me in understanding this. Thankyou and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Shilou
Welcome to The BB Forums
To have the courage to post is a huge step forward in the healing process. I did have anxiety attacks for 25 years and thanks to my excellent GP and Therapist those days have gone leaving the depression following me around.
I dont know how long you have had your anxiety/depression Shilou but you have come to the right place. There are many very kind people on the forums as well as some really handy tips as well!
Did you recently start having the panic attacks? Or have they been pestering you for a while.
It would be great to hear your thoughts too Shilou.
We are here for you
Kind Thoughts
Paul

Hi Shilou
You are doing just fine with your typing....no worries
I do remember that people just have me that blank look as well lol.....A GP that you are comfortable with is great to have for support...Every month/two weeks make your appointment with her/him and let it out.
Having a support group of people you can bounce off is also good to have...Going by the book...5 is ideal...In reality I have 2...and the wonderful people on here as well of course.
If I may ask you Shilou.....Do you take any meds at all?
* Handy tip for you....Anxiety does decrease in severity over time with treatment 🙂
You are more than welcome to ask us anything you wish to Shilou
How are you sleeping?
Kind Thoughts
Paul
