the forums can be difficult to start with especially if you are not used to them.

whether you want to tell your own story here, or reply to others is up to you. The people here are all supportive of each other. Your Easter story was quite nice also.

Can I ask... what brought you here to post on the forums?

Hello Smallwolf. Nice to hear from you. I will answer your question. Im 74 years old. I have a terminal illness which has made me totally dependent on others. I have mental health problems and I am very isolated and lonely.Iwant contact with other people who are also suffering, and I would also like to help and support others,as I understand what it feels like having to cope with mental issues. It would help me to, knowing Im not alone. I hope I havent bored you too much. I try to use distractions eg listening to Elvis and I also love Jesus. How are you keeping anyway? You can tell me if you want to. I must admit that the people that I have had contact are lovely caring human beings. Take care and God Bless You. Chunty😸🦄

Hey Chunty,

Thanks for stopping by on the forums today,

We're so sorry to hear your pain has increased and has resulted in reduced activity and motivation. Can we ask if you've seen your doctor recently? Do you feel comfortable letting them know about your pain and feelings of tiredness? They'd be able to inform you about whether you're experiencing symptoms of depression and how you might go about trying to feel better.

To learn more about depression we'd urge you to read through our webpage on the 'signs and symptoms of depression' here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/The-facTs/depression/signs-and-symptoms . You can even take the 'Depression and Anxiety checklist' which will provide you with an indication of how distressed you’ve been recently: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/anxiety-and-depression-checklist-k10

If you are not sure of how to access mental health support, please contact the Beyond Blue Support Service anytime 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or get in touch with us on Webchat 3pm-12am AEST here: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport. Our friendly counsellors can offer support, advice, and referrals.
