Introducing myself - *waves*

Hi everyone

While I'm new to this particular forum, I'm not new to depression. I'm in my 30s, female, married with fur-babies and have had depression and anxiety since my teens. In my early 20s I was diagnosed with bipolar type II.

I'm still learning how to respond when different aspects of this illness arise, but I figure after 10 years of many different forms of treatment, I might be able to offer support to others and help share what I've learnt.

I know I will continue to have dark days and there will be many times I will come here seeking advice. But, I wanted to make sure when I introduce myself that with me, it's a two-way street. I'm here to give advice as well as ask for it.

Because I'm new, I may not jump into the conversations right away - I like to get the lay of the land before I put myself out there. But I just wanted to say hi and that I'm looking forward to being part of these very important conversations 🙂

See you around!

Lana

Good news Lana.  We can all use as much help as we can get!  A very warm welcome to you .........

I look forward to seeing more of you around 'the traps'.

Your courage and intentions are highly honourable, and I admire your strength and commitment.

Well done.

Hi Lana,

Welcome, I find reading great too some days. I look forward to you posing in some of the conversations when and if you feel like adding something, you have your own special story there and I would love to hear it in time. It is great that you are here and I have to say I quite like the picture too, water is magic for me along with balloons and the pier...

Hello Lana

Welcome to Beyond Blue. It's great to have you here. Unfortunately we all have our dark days so it's good to have somewhere to go and get support.

Please browse the site, look at all the information available. You may find something of interest to you. One of the best things about helping someone else is the way it helps ourselves. I have often commented when I write a response that I am writing for myself as much as the other person.

As you are a long standing member of Club Depression I'm certain you will have lots of stories and experiences to share with others and help them on their journey to health.

Good to meet you.

Mary
