I hope I am posting in the right place. Just wanted to say hello I signed up to try to take control of my anxiety.
I have always been a bit of a worrier but the past month it has got to a point where it's debilitating. I don't even know if this is anxiety or a medical condition .. I have been seeing my doc and so far all tests have come back normal and I have my first app with a psychologist next week.
I have been to the ER twice with these symptoms, one doc said it cpuod be a tumor on ky adrenal gland and now i am convinced that's whats wrong with me. I now experience symptoms daily and it's making me not want to leave my house. I also have a beautiful 8 month old baby who I feel I am letting down. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it really is anxiety?! I get lots of adrenaline rushes when trying to sleep, I also get waves of adrenaline in the day, my heart beats fast , I get sweaty and feel like I'm about to die. I'm never hungry and feel sick when I try to eat, I also get very weak and feel like walking in an effort some days. I am just feeling so hopeless and want to feel like myself again. I am so scared I am dying of a horrible disease.
Not sure what the point of this post is... Just feeling alone and defeated.

Hi Gg22,
First of all welcome to BeyondBlue online forums and please don't ever feel unsafe from posting up your side of the story because this is the safest, non-judgemental, and supportive environment!!
After reading your post, I can assure you that half of the battle you have already won!! Well done on that!! Do you know why? Because to start with you have insight into what is the problem!!!
So regarding your issue. I don't think it is cancer-related. I completely feel this is an anxiety issue because the other doctor only mentioned about a possible cancerous presence where the previous 2 doctors did not. I purely feel this is an anxiety-related issue. We can definitely work on that!! I know some people who even reversed their cancer from stage 4 (if you think it is in fact cancer) through simple lifestyle changes.
But please forgive me first that I am not an expert in this. I just want to help because I know it has worked for some people including me!! I used to have panic attacks, social and generalized anxiety problems throughout my childhood and late adolescence. I did not even go to the psychologist because I was so embarrassed!! By all this, I ended up getting vitiligo (an auto-immune disease) because throughout my childhood and adolescence I was putting the wrong fuel in my body.
After a significant period of time, the first thing I changed was my diet! I went cold turkey to whole foods plant-based diet (no preservatives, sugar, oils etc.) - Suddenly, my anxiety disappeared and my vitiligo disappeared completely. Side by side, I was exercising vigorously and combined my meditation and yoga practices - I started basically living!!
See anxiety happens when our internal state is in conflict with the external world. What happens outside, we can't control but what happens within is something we can control!! So having a lifestyle change will help you to connect yourself with the mind and the body.

Hi Gg,
I think it’s very brave of you to reach out here. The past month sounds as though it has been a very, very difficult time for you.
I think Jasjit has replied with such a supportive, kind and helpful response that I’ve little to add. But I will suggest that maybe you would like to take a look at a thread called Self help tips for managing anxiety.
If you’re interested, you can find it by typing the thread title in the beyondblue search bar, “self help tips for managing anxiety.”
I believe that thread is quite long. So if that’s a bit much, you can maybe read just the first and last page or read it over the course of a few days or even weeks. But only if you want to of course...
Kindness and care,
Pepper
