Not sure where to start.
I'm 44, I live alone, I rarely reach out for help, at all. I want a change.
I've had severe depression on and off for most of my life. Anxiety, PTSD and a bad eating disorder for 20 years.
I've just recently started seeing a GP after many years. As well as counselling, I think I get 6 sessions. It's a nice thought that my goal in this is to reduce my K10 from 40+ to less than 30, though thinking about this is likely to trigger my depression, that's not going to make it easier.
So what then? What options do I have?

Hi Chainsaw Urnuts
Have you started your counselling sessions yet? Good on you for reaching out for help. It is the most important but also the hardest step in the journey to feeling better.
I have been skeptical too in the past about my K10 going down but have been surprised after review to see it actually has! Try and stay positive (sorry I hate it when people say that to me too!) and you might surprise yourself.

Hey Franklin88,
Yeah, had my first session last week. Another in a week or so.
I struck it lucky with my new GP, meds that work for short term and a plan to find something that agrees with me long term, seem to get along with counselor well too.
I'd prefer not to waste time in sessions trying to work out how to get more help after they finish, I'd search through the net except I'm wary, tends to trigger my depression more often than help it and these meds aren't making some simple things easy.
