Hello everyone,

So as I write this it’s 1:05am where I am and I’m in my bed shakin. I think I’ll start off with this. I’m experiencing paranoia when it comes to night/bed time. I live in a city with my boyfriend, however I keep waking up with the fear of someone coming to kill me. This used to happen a lot when I was younger and now I think it’s back. Well I used to be on depression pills now I’m not, I used to be a commitment and relationship destroyer. As I have issues with accepting commitment and happiness. It’s a long story of broken hearts but it started with a touchered soul who messed me up more then I ever thought. Anyways I’m not speeding anything else to avoid people being bored or avoiding me online. But in a nutshell my life is great but I don’t think I am great.

Thank you

Hello PiArLo, can I welcome you to the forum where I hope you will safe.

You have overcome this once before so it can be done again.

You say that your life is great so that's a terrific place to be and where to build your confidence.

Many people stop taking their medication because they are beginning to feel better, and the reason why this happens is because the medication was working, but as soon as they stop, back come all the problems they were suffering from before.

I urge you to please go back to your doctor and begin your medication once again, they may once again settle your thoughts and if they offer any counselling, then that would be a good idea.

Leave a light on so you can see that no one is there and that this 'tortured soul' has no interest in wanting to visit you again as you have a boyfriend. Geoff.

Let me also extend my welcome to you. It is a safe place here and if you post people will reply. And you will not be judged.

I am sorry to hear about the head space you are in. And the effect the tortured soul is having on your relationships. Still.

In addition to what Geoff has said, is it that your mind is telling you these things and then you begin to believe it.

So the question becomes, can I remove that thought or let it float away. I don't know what you are like with meditation or deep breathing exercises. These both have techniques to put you into the here and now and/or/by transporting you to a safe place in your mind. If you are deep breathing, this is putting your focus on breathing and the air, in and out - a way of cancelling those other thoughts.

When I had a scan done recently, i used deep breathing and a phrase and repeating over and over and for that time or part thereof was floating in space with the stars around me.

I also have a couple of apps recommended by my psych that I use.

Does your GP know of the things that are having an effect on you? I assume that you would like your relationship to be as good as the rest of your life? Are these feelings that you get something that you need to talk to someone about?

Hope to hear from you. Stay strong.
