Hi Kim A
Welcome and thankyou for having the huge strength to post too!
There are a lot of mums on here that can help you better than I can, however I have had anxiety for a many years and its an awful place to be in. Please feel free to ask any questions you have
Is it okay if I ask you if you have had a chat to your GP? This is a great place to start as they have a lot of experience with new mums and anxiety.
Its also good to have a few supportive people around you too......even just one is a huge help
you are not alone here Kim
my kindest thoughts & congratulations on your new baby boy 🙂
If your anxiety needs immediate help Beyond Blue have kind & qualified people on the support line....24/7

Hi Kim A,
Firstly, welcome to the forums.
I see blondguy (Paul) has already given some great advice and asked questions regarding if you have had your anxiety tended to by a GP or a psychologist. Hopefully some mothers who have experienced the same thing will also comment and give you more direct advice, I can just offer my advice as I also suffer anxiety.
Are you able to explain a little more if it's ok about your symptoms or any question you have regarding it at all?
My best for you,
Jay

Hi Kim A and welcome to the forums
It is great you have opened up and asked for help by leaving a comment. This is a really brave thing to do.
As Jay and Paul have pointed out, talking to your GP about this would be hugely beneficial. My mum suffered from post-natal depression and she had to ask my dad and her GP for support. It was a really tough time for her, but with the support of family and her GP she got through it and was a stronger person for it. My mum is the best and I love her so much and I am so glad she has been so open about it with me, it makes me appreciate her even more as loved me so much even through her struggle. You can get better but I do suggest you ask for support.
Ms Purple
