Does anyone else get side-effects from medications?

I've been diagnosed with a psychosis, and schizophreniform disorder,

the medication I was previously on gave me a lot of fatigue and agitation. Also couldn't sleep.

I've started to hear voices now or people talking about me,

and my doctor wants me on a new med, which can apparently cause weight-gain, agitation, low energy, nausea and permanent tremors.

To answer your question... YES

in relation to your last statement are these common or 1 in a 100 type possibility?

I am loathe to change the medication I am on because I think that anything else will be worse.

the first medication I was had a number of physical side-effects.

the best thing to do is to make a note of what is happening to you and talk about this with the person giving you the medication.

Also YES definitely i have experienced many side effects from mood stabilizers and other meds i have been prescribed but i have also changed meds a few times and these effects vary a lot....When the effects were very undesirable for me i changed meds and some symptoms were not as bad.

I think its best to talk to your doctor and see the benefits and risks to the medication
