Should i go to hospital?

So I've had a super rough couple of months, I went to hospital for 6 weeks recently going from surgery having my gall bladder removed to a mental health center then a care center. I've been home for 2 weeks with many downs and few ups. The first couple of days i wasn't doing too bad but I've gotten extremely bad.
My IBS is at its worst I'm in immense pain while going to the toilet, and when its not that my stomach feels extremely uncomfortable or pain. I'm having trouble doing the things i like, even watching TV or playing games. I'm avoiding talking to friends and even around the house i just feel like curling up into a ball and cry.
The hardest part is i honestly feel like I can't go on, especially when I'm going through my IBS episodes. I'm scared of eating coz it just causes my IBS, i had have some back pain which I've had an X-ray for but waiting to give them to my doctor. I was meant to see my GP last week but with it being xmess i missed the cut. Earliest i can see someone is Wed. Their is a lot of little things that have been bugging me that I'll need to speak to someone about, but I'm unsure what i should do currently. I kinda want to go to hospital, would be nice to have some stronger pain relief. But sometimes it feels like they don't care.
what do people think?

Hi Barnzey
Thanks for commenting. It sounds like you are going through a really rough patch, especially with your mental health, surgery recovery and your IBS worsening. I know how IBS can be made worse with certain foods. For this I would recommend bland foods such as crackers and some lemonade. You say when it is really bad and you are in a lot of pain your depression gets worse and you feel as if you can't go on, have you ever contemplated suicide? If you have a temptation to do so (meaning it is turning more than just thoughts or intrusive thoughts, but you are wanting to put it into action) you would need to get immediate help. This can be done by going to your local emergency department or you can call the beyondblue hotline on 1300224636, they are available 24 hours 7 days a week. I am not a professional so I can not tell you if hospital is your best option. If you want professional advise on this I would call the beyondblue hotline and they can help you with that decision and give you some counselling as well. Have you told someone how bad you have been feeling lately? Maybe talk to a close friend or family member. Make sure you are safe and around people you can trust. As for the hospital not caring, this is not at all true. I know it can feel like it, but honestly they do care. I work in a hospital and xmas for some staff is the busiest and most stressful time of the year (mind you I only work in food service). Everyone wants time off and your understaffed (and different xmas food is on) which can make the staff stressed. This stress can sometimes be seen as them not caring but trust me they do care.
I hope this has helped.
